What I Liked

I like the college classrooms it is good
I like the college atmosplere snd canteen

What I didn’t like

I dont like the college ground it is small
I dont like the college toilet it is bad

Placement Experience:

My college placements will be good . More than 200 compsnies visit our college Smvec and conpsnies like Tcs and infosys hire more than 30 students from our college . The average package is 500000 Lpa

Internships Opportunities:

No i havent applied for any internship. Beacuse im interested in placements so i dont applied for any internships offer . Im doing projrct on Predicting weather through Ai . With the guide im doing well.

My experience at SMVEC

What I Liked

Friendly staffs and discipline is put forth
Support and push for talent and students with unique skillsets

What I didn’t like

Sports and Physical education needs a little push
Importance to more culutural events would help students with engagement

Placement Experience:

There are several placement opportunities in this college. Students must have 60% or higher SSLC marks to be eligible for placement opportunities and also should not have any active backlogs. In my batch we had 75% of students that got placed. Most of the 25% that didn't get placed are people willing to go for higher education.

Internships Opportunities:

I personally have not opted for any internships outside the college but there are compulsory online internships approved by AICTE that are mandatory for everyone to complete. You get options to opt for one at the start of you 6th semester. The companies are government contracted mostly.

What I Liked

I like college surroundings and faculty
The campus is so good it is so big and well developed

What I didn’t like

Everything is good but u need to maintain a good behaviour in this college
If u should not put leave or else mark will be low

Placement Experience:

Good and the eligibilty will be about your knowledge. Like if you know well about any domain you can get a placement in high package and u need not to worry as long as u concentrate on studies and avoid leave u can get into good comapany

Internships Opportunities:

In TCS got ml and the company is really good and well developed the opportunities. Here are u need to know about flutter and java is important or else full stack development or machine learning if you learn this u can get good job

A unforgettable one

What I Liked

I like the college because of the liberal in campus
And gender equality is maintained by girls boys spoke each other

What I didn’t like

The college but is very poor by taking wrong decisions and not to take correct decisions at correct time

Placement Experience:

Placement are not for agriculture students because we only have the choice to choose entrepreneurship or to write at crack government exams at go to jobs, at then internship is called as Rawe for us and it is for 3 months period in staying the village by studying the agriculture lands and farmer activities and for helping farmers.

Internships Opportunities:

No I have not opted any it that ships I am going to internship with the 20 days called Rawe so after finishing that I will tell about the internship program and it is much interesting and beneficial for us for learning the knowledge.

Honest review

What I Liked

I like that the teachers are good and they are knowledgeable about the subjects.
The canteens are good that is all i can say about infrastructure.

What I didn’t like

The buildings are not completed and there is not enough classes for students.
The staff are knowledgeable but they are not spending that on us.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not well now a days many people are not getting placed I don't know where the problem is that the college is not teaching for placements or the problem is with the students in any case I am only 2 nd year student i don't know exactly about placements.

Internships Opportunities:

I have not opted for any internship and in this college there will be no opportunity for you to get internship if you want internship you have to apply on your own in outside and get the opportunity on your own the college will not help you on internship.

Overall good place for me

What I Liked

Classrooms are good, spacious, well lit, spacious benches etc...
They are continuously improving the infrastructure in multiple aspects.

What I didn’t like

Strict rules are the most irritating thing like no mobile, no jean, no black dress, clean shave for boys.
If we are coming in college bus, sometimes due to traffic bus will reach late to college. But we hav to stand infront of HOD for that.

Placement Experience:

College offers the best placement and job opportunities in Pondicherry. People from states also come and join SMVEC for placement it provides. Highest package is 14LPA and average is 4-5LPA PERCENTAGE of students placed is 80-90%

Internships Opportunities:

College will insist us to do internship in 6th semester. We should go to some company and complete a internship. It's mandatory, we have credit points for that too. College won't create any internship opportunities.

as a student of SMVEC

What I Liked

i like the infrastructure and well cleaned platforms and roads in our college the bathroom facility is well managed
and i love the campus environment as it was joined with nature like everywhere there will be trees

What I didn’t like

the parking lot in our college is worst and they didn't mange that well
the lab facilities in our college is worst as components didn't work well

Placement Experience:

the main reason i joined this college is for the placement. they provide placements in well manner and a decent amount of salary. famous companies like google, zogo, tcs etc are available to placements

Internships Opportunities:

many companies like google, zogo, tcs are hiring many people from our college for internships if they have enough skills and talent. the salary may differ from person to companies. they even teach how to get internships in college

A place to get placed but not to learn...

What I Liked

The newly built University block is stunning like a 5 star hotel
You have 4 canteens inside the campus and prices are fair.

What I didn’t like

Syallabus, Less knowledge staffs, No industry connected subjects
No importance to sports, focus on placements rather than knowledge development which results in getting hired by companies with low package

Placement Experience:

The college will try to place you in a company if you are doing B.tech there is a high probability of getting placed in TCS but for MBA the familiar recruiters are HomeFirst Finance, City Union Bank, KVB, Oppo, Bajaj Finance, and Reliance.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are not mandatory, you can club your internships with the Final year project. If you are placed in any company on or before the last sem you are allowed to work and need to attend only the semester exams.

What I Liked

campus was decent and big nothing much to complaint about they had a big ground and a basket ball court
infrastructure wise they had separate building for each departments and labs

Placement Experience:

placements were decent they made an effort to place everyone in the IT sector which is the only good company as a mechanical guy we didn't get a good company in the core company, we only had third-tier companies
