SIETK Admission Dates 2027

The tentative schedule for the 2027 admission cycle includes AP EAMCET registration, the entrance examination and APSCHE counselling for B.Tech applicants.

SIETK uses different entrance tests for its undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes.

SIETK Courses and Fees

Students can choose from eleven B.Tech branches, five M.Tech specialisations, MCA, MBA and diploma courses in five engineering fields. Every regular B.Tech specialisation has a total fee of INR 2.74 Lakhs for four years. Diploma holders may also join the second year of the relevant B.Tech course through lateral entry.

CSE, ECE and the AI-linked branches receive the highest demand. SIETK offers three separate AI pathways: AI and Data Science, AI and Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. These courses form part of its focus on newer technology fields. The M.Tech in VLSI Design is intended for electronics graduates seeking work in semiconductor design. A diploma holder can use lateral entry to begin a related B.Tech programme from its second year.

SIETK Admission Process

APSCHE, which is the AP State Council of Higher Education, conducts centralised online counselling for SIETK’s B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and MBA seats. Admission to diploma programmes takes place through SBTET-AP POLYCET counselling.

B.Tech Admission

Applicants must pass 10+2 from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The minimum aggregate is 45%, reduced to 40% for SC and ST applicants. AP domicile students receive admission according to their AP EAMCET rank.

• Complete AP EAMCET registration and take the entrance examination.
• Join APSCHE web counselling, submit the required certificates and complete online registration.
• Enter SIETK and the preferred engineering branch as online choices.
• After allotment, accept the seat and visit SIETK for certificate checks and fee payment.

Closing ranks are generally higher for CSE and AI-based branches. Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering usually have lower cutoffs, so these branches are open to a broader range of AP EAMCET ranks. JEE Main scores are also accepted for management quota seats.

M.Tech, MCA, and MBA Admission

M.Tech candidates can enter through a PGECET or GATE score followed by APSCHE counselling. They need a B.Tech in the relevant discipline with at least 50%. MCA applicants must have a bachelor’s degree that included Mathematics and an aggregate of 50%. For MBA, any bachelor’s degree with 50% is accepted. Both MCA and MBA admissions use APICET through the APSCHE process.

SIETK Placements

The Training and Placement Cell manages recruitment activities for students completing B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and MBA. In 2024, employers selected 932 UG students from 1,022 eligible candidates, resulting in a 91.2% UG placement rate. The corresponding PG placement rate was 95%.

SIETK’s highest recorded offer is INR 40 LPA. For 2024, the average package was INR 5.05 LPA, while UG students received a median package of INR 6 LPA. Recruiters included Accenture, Infosys, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, HP, IBM, HCL and Mphasis.

Accenture made the most offers in 2024 with 35. Infosys followed with 30, while Capgemini made 12. Tech Mahindra and Wipro each recorded 10 offers. Most opportunities came from software and IT services companies, and graduates from CSE and AI-related programmes received the highest-value packages.

SIETK Rankings

SIETK takes part in the Engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework. The Ministry of Education placed it at 164th nationally in NIRF 2023.

SIETK Campus and Infrastructure

Spread over 30 acres, the SIETK campus is located in Puttur, Tirupati district, at the foothills of the Eastern Ghats. Its infrastructure includes separate departmental academic buildings, computer centres, electronics and mechanical laboratories, a workshop, seminar hall, canteen and central library.

Separate hostels for boys and girls are located on the campus. Wi-Fi is available in both the academic buildings and hostel blocks. The central library provides a large collection of reference books for engineering and management, as well as access to digital learning material from JNTUA and NPTEL. Laboratories serving five programmes have NBA accreditation and meet the quality standards of the National Board of Accreditation.

Outdoor facilities include a cricket ground and courts for volleyball and basketball. Students can also use an indoor games room. Technical and cultural festivals are held annually and attract participants from JNTUA-affiliated colleges across the region. Coding clubs and departmental associations provide opportunities to develop skills outside regular classes.

SIETK vs Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering vs Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College

AP EAMCET applicants considering private engineering institutions in Tirupati and Chittoor districts often assess SIETK alongside Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) and Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (Sree Vidya). Each institution is a private college affiliated with JNTUA and uses AP EAMCET counselling for admissions.

Because SIETK is based in Puttur rather than Tirupati city, it may suit students living in Puttur, Chittoor and nearby places. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College are closer to Tirupati and were founded earlier, giving them larger alumni networks built over additional years. The three institutions compete for the same group of AP EAMCET applicants from the Tirupati district area.
