Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement as such. There is an internship of 1 year at the end of 4th year of the course in the Doon Hospital Dehradun. My plan after this course is to pursue my post graduation in a good branch.

Remarks:

The major factor which encouraged me to join this college was it's location, since it is located near my house it was the best place for me to be in. Also this college has the highest cutoff as compared to other medical Colleges of uttarakhand government.

MBBS students can apply for mo that is medical officer job or can work a part-time job in a hospital. the eligibility criteria for getting a job is mbbs degree. the average pay after doing MBBS is about 60000k and after doing post-graduation is about 1.5 lakh. Depending on the super specialty branches the income can vary, people can have different incomes in different countries depending on the pay giving, and the average percentage of students getting jobs is 100 percent. The plan after getting a degree is to study hard for post graduation exam and after that super specialty branch.

Remarks:

I have taken the admission test for the college. The good aspect is that you that work for the betterment of patients and people and the bad aspect is that it is very difficult to pass the admission test and the exam.

You've to complete 1 year internship for getting permanently registered as a Doctor. The internship is done at Doon hospital and you'll be paid ?17000 per month. After this you become a register Medical Practitioner.

Remarks:

For entering into a medical college you have to take the NEET UG exam conducted every year. According to your rank you're alloted a college. In every state 75% is for the state and 25% for the centre. Students with state domicile can get GDMC at 600 whole for centre it is around 620. Cut off keeps on changing according to the difficulty level.GDMC is one of the best medical colleges in Uttarakhand. As if lies in Dehradun the patient influx is good which is a very important factor when it comes to choosing a medical college. The faculties are also good and teaching is good in college as well the hospital. The labs are also well equipped. The only drawback is campus is small.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBBS due to a passion for medicine and a desire to help others through healthcare. The college has a highly qualified and experienced faculty who are dedicated to providing quality education and guidance to students. The terminal exams were conducted timely with 2 terminal exams in the months of April and September followed by the pre profesional and professional exams in the month of December.

Remarks:

Being a native of Dehradun, Government Doon Medical College held more significance for me. Its location in my hometown not only provided convenience but also a deep-rooted connection to the community, making my choice for pursuing MBBS here even more meaningful. Other factors that influenced my choice include prime location which attracts a high patient inflow for diverse clinical exposure, the college's modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, practical training opportunities, and focus on extracurricular activities. The test one has to clear to enroll in GDMC is NEET-UG which is the entrance exam for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) courses in various government and private medical colleges across India.
