Remarks :
The major factor which encouraged me to join this college was it's location, since it is located near my house it was the best place for me to be in. Also this college has the highest cutoff as compared to other medical Colleges of uttarakhand government.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBBS is obviously a tough course to pursue. But my first year went pretty well because the faculty is great and very supportive. Also the internal exams were conducted within every 2 months which helped us a lot to prepare for the university professional exams.
Internships Opportunities :
There is a mandatory internship of 1 year in the Doon Hospital. The stipend of ?17000 per month is paid at the time of internship. During the internship one has to serve in various departments for variable time periods.
Placement Experience :
There is no campus placement as such. There is an internship of 1 year at the end of 4th year of the course in the Doon Hospital Dehradun. My plan after this course is to pursue my post graduation in a good branch.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for the students of all the categories is same. There is a tution fees of ?145000 per annum, hostel fees accounts for ?6000 per annum and the mess costs ?44000 per year. Apart from these an additional amount of ?20000 was taken at the time of admission which included the development fees, registration fees, admission fees and sports fees.
Campus Life :
Every year the culture fest "FORNIX" is held in the college in the month of October-november. Before the cultural fest there is a sports fest called "PHOENIX" held in the college. Also the league's for various sports are held throughout the year like the GPL, GDMC soccer league, Basketball league etc. Even though the ground is quite small but the facilities for various sports are available in the college. An indoor badminton court is also present in the campus.There is a well equipped gym in the college for the students. There is a central library which has all the course related books in it. The only bad thing about the library is that it remains open till 9:00 pm only. So you cannot study in the library after 9. There are various social groups and committees in the college like the literary committee, the social work committee etc
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel has two types of rooms 2-seater and 3- seater. The allotment of the rooms is based on the merit. The hostel mess provides 4 meals in a day ie the breakfast, lunch, evening snack and the dinner. The quality of food served by the mess is quite average. The rooms of the hostel are in a very good condition and well maintained. The cleanliness of the hostel is well maintained. The entire hostel is covered by the cctv and also there are 2 guards in the hostel everytime. There are 2 study rooms in the hostel equipped with ac. Also there is a badminton court in the hostel.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
