- Faculty is probably one of the best in GDMC in the entire state. Probably one the finest doctors in the state work here.
- Campus even though small but is welcoming and cozy with library available for 24*7
- Sports facilities provided are also really good. the grounds and equipments are all available
Dislikes
- entry exit timing could have been better. hostel gates shut by 9:30
- hospital is far from the hostel. It is almost 4KM away from the hostel
Remarks :
College present at the capital. Staff is complete and the development of college is fast paced. I have been here for just 4 yrs and during this time the college has made 2 pg hostels 1 new emergency block and is currently working on new obs gynae building.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is divided into 4 yr of college and 1 yr of Internship. During the first 4 yrs we have to study various subjects and we get to practice during internship. faculty is quite supportive here. Teachers are well versed in their respective subject having vast knowledge and experience of their respective branches
Internships Opportunities :
Internship is compulsory. as i mentioned earlier it is done after 4th year. posted in various departments. we are paid about 17000 per month during internship. everyone is asked to maintain a log book during this time
Placement Experience :
Placement is not promised by the college. The college does provide us with 1 yr of Internship which starts after completion of 4th year, where we are asked to work under different departments and try to get as much info and knowledgeable and experience possible. previously bond system was there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure of the college is divided into 2 segments. GDMC being a government clg also provide us with hostel. So the fees is divided into college fees and hostel fees. College fees include tuition fees sports fees and all which is 156000 for 4 yrs and 75K for 5th yr while hostel fees is 6K per year
Campus Life :
The campus even though is small compared to other medical colleges but is quite welcoming and cozy. Library is huge with internet facility and reading rooms which are open 24*7. Fest usually happens in the month of October inviting all the medical colleges of Uttrakhand hosting one of the most memorable event for us
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I have opted for hostel. It is 6 storey building with each floor for entire batch. There are plenty rooms for everyone and it is very affordable being 6K an year is very helpful. A few people do prefer PGs and rent room near the college which is also possible if desired. The food at mess is good menu changes monthly, regular inspection and improvement is done here and there to make things better. Mess fees is about 44K per year but it is worth the price

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
