Here are many reasons for choosing this college, this college is located in a very good place the transportation system near the college is very good , and there is many other reasons for choosing this college, New Alipore College is a A+ grade college under calcutta University, the admission fees or other expenses for the course In this college are very affordable in my opinion. My college life experience is just outstanding, the faculty members are very helpful and good , they are very disciplined and good and the most good thing about this college is there is no ragging and also union members are don't forced you for joining union or any political group . The admission process is very simple of this college there is no competitive exam for admission after 12th pass you apply for admission in which course, subject you want admission starts in June-August month in a year, you can apply online and its depend on your number that you getting admission or not .

The admission process to our college is quite easy and it completely goes through online, firstly you have to enter all your details, your 12th results and all. Then after this merit list process is there this merit list process is quite slower, I think it goes for all the colleges that are under C.U. The exams are held every 6 months we have semester-wise exams and all total I have 8 semesters means 4 years of degree I have computer science honours with research. We had to maintain a CGPA of at least 6.5 over the year to qualify for research. Overall the exam process is slow and boring also because of the holidays between exams so it's a bad aspect for me as well.

The good aspects are that the teachers are friendly and the college has a good campus and modern teaching facilities with a Wi-Fi connection. You have to score a minimum of 60 per cent in your last exam to be admission.

I chose this college because it is affiliated to Calcutta University another major reason was the location which is one of the best part.Next thing is there is no interview nor any admission test you need to fill up the form in their respective website and they will issue a list for those who are being called for counseling which was also smooth
