My engineering life in pune

What I Liked

I like about this college that there is no such tension about attendance
And I like that's it's available in pune and mumbai is also 3-4 hour long

What I didn’t like

I don't like teacher here they are no supportive
And I don't like here management they are not conducting fest properly

Placement Experience:

Yeah placement is good here because it's available in industrial area and yeah some company is comeing here for placement actually I am not clear about my placement iam planning about to do masters after that

Internships Opportunities:

Actually I am in second year only so currently I have not opted for internship currently but I have trying to do an internship by completing this semester yeah college is providing internship it's paid internship but that's doesn't matter

Honest review from past student.

What I Liked

Faculty is good and helpful. Computer labs are available.
Infrastructure is good and garden is present in college.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is very small and no space available for sports.
Faculty is not strict enough and some students did not attend regularly.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility was 75% attendance, passing in all semester. An objective assignment were conducted for all students. Highest package- 1500000. Average package- 300000. For computer science branch 100% placement.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunity is available and role offered were software developer. Companies like Infosys, cognizant and wipro. Pay offered was 20000-25000ts. Internship was for 3-6 months and work from home.

What I Liked

Our College Campus Is So Good Our College Faculties Are So Good In Their Respective Subjects
Our College Campus Life Is Also So Good

What I didn’t like

I think They Should Take College Fest For Students Atleast 2 In A semester
I think They Can Improve Their Internship Recurring

Placement Experience:

In Our College Placements Are Quite Good But You Have To Study Hard For It Like Last Year Microsoft Gave The Highest Package For 52 LPA And Average Package Is Around 8 LPA My Ultimate Goal Is To Study Hard For Placement And Get A Good Job After Getting A Degree

Internships Opportunities:

Actually I Am In First Year So Currently I Am Not Applicable For Internships But In Our College To Get An Internship Is Tough Until You Really Study Hard Either You Can Apply Off Campus For Internships

My honest take on my college

Placement Experience:

Many established companies comes to the campus like accenture,veritas, tcs etc.These companies have a bit of higher package than majority companies that come to college having 7-8LPA.Whereas basic companies like techmahindra,angular mind come up with 4-5lpa only.

Is Dy Patil College Good/Bad ??

What I Liked

the college is great and the infrastructure is very nice. multiple green zones are present across the campus which can be accessed by the students multiple fruit trees are planted across the campus for clean air. there is no garbage and the campus is very clean in terms for cleanliness. it is a wide campus having two hostel a girls only hostel and a co-ed hostel , there is also a basketball court, a volleyball court, full sized cricket ground, multiple places to chill.
there are separate building for every department like engineering department, design and architecture department, MBA and BBA department, law Department, Pharmacy and medical department. the management for all the department are different.

What I didn’t like

the ratio of student and teachers are way off like 50 students for a teacher. the labs are not upto date and multiple systems are not working so the students have to take their own laptops for the practical. The issue with the lift. there are only 4 lift in whole campus 2 in engineering building and 2 in architecture building and there is a consistent issue with the lift in engineering building so sometimes the students have to climb the stairs to the 8th floor
Even During the exam the lift is not serviced for the students and we have to face issues for this. the clubs run by the students are a different issues no one knows whats going where. the cricket ground is open but the student cant access the ground for some undisclosed reasons. no sporting equipment are provided and the students have to arrange them on their own

Placement Experience:

The TPO cell is not very active and not many companies are there for the placement it becomes the responsibility of the students to help themself with the placements and internships in the internship vacation the college provides, the TPO does not offer any internship and says if you can't do an internship do a course instead

Internships Opportunities:

I did an internship when I was in 3rd year of my college. there was no support provided by the college for finding the internship and then said that I was not able to give my viva due to the internship they did not support me me for the same and marked me as failed in the 3rd year viva.

College life at Dy patil

What I Liked

College campus is in very good place transport facilities are easily available near the college
Campus faculty and also the college infrastructure is the best you also the faculty is very helpful

What I didn’t like

Few of the non teaching staff are arrogant at the start but as we talk to them they be polite.
There are a lot of students in the college maybe few people like less crowd so it can be a problem to them.

Placement Experience:

Students must have cleared all their exams with no backlogs. A few recruiters are bosch, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, and many more mnc giving an average package of 4lpa maximum of 75% of the students getting their placements.

Internships Opportunities:

Bosch India was a company which I opted for my internships there are many more different companies bosch has its workshop in the college itself also they provide a stipend of 9000 per month also food is included in it.

What I Liked

The infrastructure of college is really good
Has a really big campus as compared to other colleges

There are nothing to dislike in this college

Top recruiter during this college is placement 2024 Microsoft the highest and maiden package offered during dy Patil college placement 2023 INR 27 LPA and 4.5 LPA respectively dy Patil college placement during 2023 is 76%

Internships Opportunities:

In 2019-20 the average intership package offered to the students was companies like RBL bank, clips, Emerson, Avarla technologies, and Infosys visited the campus for recruitment of students was ranked 252 companies had visited the campus
