The government-aided DU fee structure keeps the full four-year B.Tech fee at INR 41,000, placing CIC among Delhi's more affordable engineering options. BA Hons students study computer applications and quantitative reasoning alongside their main humanities subjects. These components distinguish the course from conventional BA Hons programmes at other DU colleges.

CIC Delhi University Admission Process

Applications are handled through the University of Delhi's central admission systems; CIC has no separate entrance examination of its own. B.Tech and BA Hons seats are allotted using CUET UG scores through DU's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The 2026-27 undergraduate academic session is underway.

B.Tech and BA Hons Application Steps

1. Register for CUET UG and take the papers needed for the chosen CIC programme.
2. After the CUET UG result, register for DU CSAS.
3. Enter course preferences and include the relevant CIC programme.
4. Check the seat allotment and accept the offered seat.
5. Complete document verification and confirm admission.

B.Tech (IT and Mathematical Innovations)

• Applicants need Science subjects in Class 12 and a minimum of 45%. They must also have valid CUET UG scores in Mathematics and at least one additional subject.
• Each batch has 50 seats, with category reservations governed by DU rules.
• The General category closing CUET score in CSAS Round 1 for 2026-27 was 552.54.

BA Hons (Humanities and Social Sciences)

• Students from any Class 12 stream may apply with valid CUET UG scores in the relevant Humanities subjects.
• The course follows the same CUET UG and DU CSAS admission steps as B.Tech and has an intake of 64 students.
• For the General category, CSAS Round 1 in 2026-27 closed at a CUET score of 701.48.

M.Sc and Ph.D. Selection

The M.Sc (Mathematics) selection route is DU CUET PG or the department's merit process. Postgraduate and doctoral admissions have a separate DU calendar, usually following the undergraduate admission cycle.

Ph.D. applicants take the DU Research Entrance Test in their subject and then attend an interview before the research supervisory committee. UGC or CSIR NET/JRF qualifications may allow exemption from RET. NET is the National Eligibility Test, while JRF refers to a Junior Research Fellowship.

CIC Delhi University Placements

Technology jobs and research are common choices among CIC graduates. Reported B.Tech offers average INR 10 to 12 lakh per annum (LPA). The highest offer for the 2023-24 batch was INR 26 LPA.

With only 50 B.Tech seats in a batch, CIC can provide more individual placement guidance than larger engineering colleges. A high share of graduates find work either through campus recruitment or through direct connections with DU faculty and alumni.

North Campus places CIC near DU's main administrative block, the Faculty of Science, Hindu College and Miranda House. As a constituent centre, it uses the wider university's facilities and transit systems. GTBIT's larger size and CUET-based admission make it the closest peer for applicants seeking B.Tech through CUET. NSUT ranks highest among the three for engineering placement outcomes, with JEE-based entry and higher fees. Each offers a different experience, so none directly matches CIC's course model.
