USICT Admission Dates 2027

USICT will consider entrance examination results and conduct seat allocation through GGSIPU's centralised counselling system for the 2027-28 session. The upcoming admission periods stated for this cycle are given below.

USICT Courses and Fees

At the undergraduate level, USICT follows an integrated technology degree structure. It also provides regular M.Tech and MCA programmes at the postgraduate level, along with doctoral study. The amounts below cover the complete stated duration of each course.

The integrated programme awards both B.Tech and M.Tech qualifications after 5 years. Students therefore do not need to seek separate admission to a conventional 2-year postgraduate programme after completing the undergraduate component.

USICT Admission Process

GGSIPU manages admission to every USICT programme through centralised counselling. Selection criteria depend on the course, with JEE Main, IPU CET, GATE or the university's PhD entrance test used as applicable.

1. Meet the academic eligibility conditions specified for the chosen programme.
2. Appear for JEE Main, IPU CET, GATE or the GGSIPU PhD Entrance Test, as required by the course.
3. Register for GGSIPU centralised counselling and submit the applicable entrance score.
4. Take part in the allotment rounds conducted until the available seats are filled.

B.Tech plus M.Tech Dual Degree Admission

Applicants must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, secure at least 55% aggregate, and study English as a compulsory subject. Admission depends on a JEE Main or IPU CET rank. Delhi domicile candidates receive 75% of the seats, while the remaining 25% are available to candidates from outside Delhi.

M.Tech Admission

For M.Tech admission, students need a B.Tech or BE in the relevant engineering field with at least 60% marks. GATE scores receive preference, though IPU CET for M.Tech is also accepted. GGSIPU makes the final selection according to the normalised GATE score and available seats during counselling.

MCA Admission

MCA applicants need a graduation degree and must have studied Mathematics either at the 10+2 stage or during their undergraduate course. Selection is made through IPU CET (MCA), and the seat distribution gives preference to Delhi domicile candidates.

USICT Cutoffs

USICT cutoffs depend on the programme, domicile quota, applicant pool and number of available seats. The following General Category closing ranks were recorded during the 2025 admission process.

The outside-Delhi CSE quota closed at a more competitive rank than the Delhi domicile quota. GGSIPU continues counselling through several allotment rounds until the seats are occupied.

USICT Placements

Students from the CSE, IT and ECE streams take part in the USICT placement process. The school's location near the Delhi-NCR technology and consulting corridor also places it close to employers from both sectors. During the 2024 season, more than 70 companies recruited from the graduating dual-degree batch.

Recruiters have included Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Samsung R&D, Cvent, Deloitte, ZS Associates, SAP Labs, Nagarro, Accenture, TCS, Infosys and Wipro. Packages from product companies generally fall between INR 15 and 35 LPA. Consulting and BFSI positions offer INR 8 to 18 LPA, while IT services roles provide INR 4 to 8 LPA.

Graduates have worked at major technology companies such as Google, Microsoft IDC, Samsung R&D and SAP Labs. USICT alumni also include National Award-winning actress Taapsee Pannu, a CSE graduate, and Oscar-winning film producer Guneet Monga, showing that graduates have entered careers beyond technology.

USICT Rankings

National rankings are reported for GGSIPU, the institutional entity that includes USICT. The university's NIRF performance for the two latest stated years is shown below.

USICT has an NAAC A grade and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management. Its parent university, GGSIPU, is accredited with NAAC A++ and has a CGPA of 3.56, valid through 2029. Among Delhi's government engineering colleges, the CSE and IT programmes at USICT receive strong applicant interest.

USICT Campus and Infrastructure

USICT functions from GGSIPU's 60-acre eco-friendly campus in Sector 16C, Dwarka, New Delhi. Students can reach the campus through nearby stations on the Delhi Metro Blue Line. Indira Gandhi International Airport is 16 km away, providing access for students arriving from outside Delhi.

Academic facilities include computing laboratories with high-performance workstations and specialised labs for AI and ML, VLSI, networking and embedded systems. The central digital library offers access to journals from IEEE, Springer and Elsevier. Wi-Fi service is available across both academic and residential areas.

There are 4 student hostel blocks on the GGSIPU campus, divided into 2 for boys and 2 for girls. The hostels provide furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, mess and cafeteria services, and round-the-clock security. Sports facilities include spaces for cricket, basketball, volleyball and badminton, along with a gymnasium.

USICT Scholarships

USICT does not run a separate school-level scholarship programme. However, its students may apply for financial support offered by the central government and the Delhi government to learners at GGSIPU constituent schools.

Applications for central government scholarships are submitted through the National Scholarship Portal. Delhi government schemes are handled through the Delhi e-District portal. Deadlines change each year, so students should confirm the schedule for their current academic session on the relevant portal.

USICT vs DTU vs NSUT

Students considering government engineering institutions in Delhi often evaluate USICT alongside Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT). DTU has the oldest institutional history of the three, the highest listed NIRF Engineering position and a broader selection that includes Mechanical, Civil and Chemical Engineering.
