What's New In NIMCET 2025?
The NIMCET 2025 answer key has been released and is now available at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates can download the model answer key to check the correct responses and estimate their probable scores using the official marking scheme.
The response sheet and question paper can be accessed and challenged from June 11, 2025 (5:00 PM) to June 13, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM). Candidates must submit valid proof and pay the prescribed fee to raise objections. After reviewing the challenges, the final answer key will be published.
What is NIMCET?
NIT MCA Common Entrance test also called NIMCET is conducted by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) for admission to the MCA program. NIMCET 2025 is an offline exam. NIMCET question paper is a single paper that has three sections: Part I is Mathematics, Part II is Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, and Part III is Computer Awareness and English. According to the NIMCET exam pattern, there will be a total of 120 multiple choice questions. You must answer 50 questions in Mathematics sections in 70 minutes, 40 questions in 30 minutes for Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, and 20 questions for Computer Awareness and 10 questions for English in 20 minutes. The total exam duration is 2 hours for NIMCET 2025.

NIMCET 2025 Admit Card
NIMCET admit card 2025 has been released by NIT Jamshedpur on May 28, 2025 at the official website nimset.in. If you are appearing for NIMSET 2025 on June 8, you can access the admit card by logging in to the candidate portal. NIMCET admit card carries important details such as exam centre, date, test guidelines and more. Moreover, it is mandatory to carry NIMCET admit card to the test centre as without it you will not be allowed to sit for the exam. You can download NIMSET 2025 admit card till the morning of June 8. How to download NIMCET admit card?
- The candidates first need to log in to their accounts.
- On the homepage, there will be an option to view and download the admit card.
- By clicking on the same, the admit card will be downloaded for further use.

NIMCET 2025 Counselling
NIMCET Counselling 2025 will be conducted in 3 Rounds and a Special Round. Candidates who qualified the exam can register for the counselling process and can do choice filling. The candidates will go through three rounds of counselling and the successful candidates have to report at the allotted NITs. After that, a special round of allotment begins to fill up the remaining seats. If a candidate fails to report at the reporting center, they will be disqualified.

How does the NIMCET Counseling Process work?
- Online Registration: Candidates will have to register for the counselling process. This will include uploading of personal information and verification of Email ID and Mobile Number.
- Uploading Documents: After successful registration, candidates must upload the required documents. These documents will be verified by the authorities and candidates with successful verification can move ahead for the procedure.
- Registration Fee Payment: Once candidate has uploaded the documents, they must pay the registration fee for counselling. This is a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000. If a candidate fails to pay the fee they will not be allowed to do choice filling.
- Choice Filling: Candidates can fill out their choices of NITs in order of their preference. Once choice filling is locked, it can not be changed.
- Seat Allotment: Candidates will be allotted the seats on the basis of their merit in the exam, preference of NITs and seat availability. Candidates who have been allotted the seat of their choice can pay the Seat Acceptance Fee of Rs.10,000 and secure their seat.
- Seat Withdrawal, Float, Freeze Option: Candidates who have been allotted a seat but want to withdraw can do so by login in to their account and following the Withdraw option. Those who wish to have an upgraded preference can exercise the Float Option. Those who Freeze their allotted preference can not change it.
- Partial Admission Fee: those candidates who are provisionally admitted have to pay a fee of Rs.30,000 to confirm their seat. In case of failure to do so could lead to seat cancellation.

NIMCET 2025 Registration
NIMCET Registration 2025 has started from March 6, 2025 (from 10 am). To register for NIMCET 2025, you must first register with your name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email ID. After your credentials are generated, fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee. NIMCET application fee 2025 is Rs 2500 for Open/Open-EWS/OBC candidates and Rs 1250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. NIMCET registration 2025 last date is April 20, 2025 (till 5 pm). In case of any mistakes, you can edit the NIMCET application form in the correction window from April 24 to April 26, 2025.. The process to apply is given below:
- Visit the official website for the NIMCET 2025 registration.
- To register, fill in their information including name, email address, contact details, etc properly and make an account.
- Fill out the application by logging into your account. The application form should contain all the required information from schooling to college and grades. Moreover, the information provided must be authentic.
- Upload a scanned copy of their documents. The documents may include Identity proof, signature, birth proof, mark sheets, caste/PwD certificates(if applicable), and a passport-size photograph with white background.
- Pay the application fee using the listed payment options. The application fee for UR/OBC is 2500 INR and the fee for SC/ST/PwD is 1250 INR.

NIMCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
NIMCET is one of the most popular and competitive entrance exams and hence, the eligibility criteria for NIMCET are also strict. The following are the major eligibility requirements for the NIMECT 2025. Before applying, you must fulfill NIMCET eligibility criteria. You must have an UG degree with Mathematics/ Statistics or complete B.E./B.Tech from a recognized university. You must secure at least 60% aggregate marks (6.05 CGPA on a 10-point scale). For reserved category candidates, there is a 5% relaxation in the minimum aggregate marks (55% or 6 CGPA on a 10-point scale). Eligible and successfully registered candidates can download the NIMCET admit card between May 28, 2025, and June 8, 2025. It will be released online, on the official website.:
- Must be an Indian National.
- Have a relevant bachelor’s degree of three years with mathematics/statistics as a compulsory subject.
- Degree in B.E. and B.Tech from a recognized institution are also eligible to give NIMCET 2025.
- The general category students must have attained a minimum of 60% score or 6.5 CGPA on a scale of 10 points in their UG can apply while the SC/ST/PwD students should have a minimum score of 55% or 6.0 CGPA on a scale of 10 points.

NIMCET 2025 Answer Key
NIMCET answer key is used to verify the answers and can help the candidates predict their scores. NIT Jamshedpur will release the answer key for NIMCET 2025 within 24-48 hours of the exam. You can use the NIMCET 2025 answer key to check their answers. Until the results are made public, candidates can use the NIMCET answer key to calculate their scores.
There is a provision to challenge NIMCET Answer Key between June 29 and July 5, 2025.
