Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur (SIBM Nagpur) is a management school under Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. Its AACSB accreditation, awarded by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, places it among India’s globally recognised management institutions. Admission to its residential MBA programmes is available only through the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP).
SIBM Nagpur does not receive a separate NIRF or other national ranking because it is a constituent institute of SIU. NIRF recognises SIU at the university level. The institute is known for residential management education and placements across manufacturing, BFSI, IT and consulting.
The institute has a 75-acre campus near the MIHAN zone in Nagpur, Maharashtra. MIHAN stands for Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur. Academic buildings and accommodation for all MBA students are available on the campus.
SIBM Nagpur has four management programme categories:
The complete fee for either the MBA or MBA-FABM is INR 20,79,300, including hostel and mess charges for two years. The total EMBA fee is INR 6,10,000. Under the Nagpur domicile concession, the annual academic fee is INR 3,82,075 for local students and INR 4,49,500 for other students.
During the 2025 placement season, MBA students received an average package of INR 12.33 LPA, while the highest package reached INR 24.9 LPA. Recruiters included HCLTech, Deloitte, Royal Enfield, ICICI Lombard and Jio.
The admission schedule for the 2027-29 batch begins with SNAP 2026. Applicants may take up to three tests, and the higher score is used for percentile calculation when more than one attempt is made. The result will be announced on January 12, 2027, followed by institute registration, shortlisting and the GE-PI process.

Students without a Nagpur domicile pay an annual academic fee of INR 4,49,500. The corresponding amount for Nagpur domicile students is INR 3,82,075. Hostel and mess charges can increase by up to 15% each year.
SNAP is the only entrance test used for MBA and MBA-FABM admission at SIBM Nagpur. The institute has neither centralised counselling nor a management quota. Final selection considers SNAP, a Group Exercise (GE) and a Personal Interaction (PI) conducted at the Nagpur campus. The 100-point final score assigns 50 marks to SNAP, 40 marks to PI and 10 marks to GE.
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least a 50% aggregate. Students in the final year of graduation can also submit an application.
For General category applicants, the expected SNAP cutoff is 55 to 60 marks out of 100, based on the 2026-28 admission cycle. MBA and MBA-FABM use the same expected range and selection method. Applicants with backgrounds in agriculture, food science, engineering or management are especially suited to MBA-FABM.
A SNAP score is not required for EMBA admission. Shortlisting depends on management work experience, followed by a PI. As the intake, timetable and eligibility rules can change with each cycle, applicants should confirm the current requirements with SIBM Nagpur. The placement support available for the EMBA is not the same as that provided for the two-year residential MBA.
Ph.D. applicants must have an MBA or an equivalent postgraduate qualification with at least a 55% aggregate. They also need a valid CAT, GMAT or SIU entrance-test score. Those shortlisted must take a written test and attend a personal interaction on campus. Merit-based fellowships funded by ICSSR or SIU may help research scholars meet part of the fee for the three-year programme.
For the 2023-25 MBA batch, SIBM Nagpur reported a highest CTC of INR 24.9 LPA, an average CTC of INR 12.33 LPA and a median CTC of INR 12 LPA. AACSB accreditation and the wider SIU network have continued to bring recruiters from different sectors to both programmes.
