What I Liked

College building classroom lecture theatres auditorium are too good
Campus life is also good as we are not given hostels then it's difficult for us to say the night campus environment

What I didn’t like

The thing I dislikes is the attendance criteria which is 100% for clinicals
That means if we take leave one day we have to make up it during our preparatory leave that means if we get I'll for 3days that time also we cannot go to home because of our health and due to this makeup we have to again stay in that leave that means we are not allowed to visit home once it's too frustrating sometimes specially for those students who come from distance places

Placement Experience:

Mbbs students have given the facility of internship and they get a stipend of Rs 32k because one batch of them have passed out we do also have internship opportunities for bsc nursing student but no batch yet got passed in our college after they get we would get to know assuming to get around 5k as stipend

Internships Opportunities:

No bsc nursing students yet got passed out from our college so we are unaware of the number of hospitals they get after passing out I think we have to feel certain forms after completion of our course in private and government sectors that's it

Come to DHGMCH

What I Liked

Its surroundings and scenic beauty. There's a small island and a big lake in front of our building
From 5th floor of our college we can see the river attached with the bay of Bengal

What I didn’t like

Very dusty area. Lots of dust fly whenever a bike or car pass by
Need more staff. Since this is new college more required staffs

Placement Experience:

After completing our 1 year of paid internship we can apply for housestaff ship program in our choice of department. Here we have to serve 1 year along with salary. After this we can apper in post graduation degree exams like NEET PG .

Internships Opportunities:

Out option to opt for a internship will be allowed whenever we pass our final year mbbs examination. All students after completing their final proff are given compulsory paid internship program to get practical knowledge

An overview to DHGMCH - One of the top government MBBS college in West Bengal

What I Liked

Faculty is my top reason specially in first and last year subjects
Infrastructure be it hostel, academic building or anything else

What I didn’t like

Weather is too humid as it is situated near Bay if bengal
There isn't much places for recreation but you can get n number of those places in Kolkata which is just 1.5 hrs away

Placement Experience:

Since this is the MBBS course hence there aren't any college placements. But there are around 70+ seats in Housestaffship immediately after the internship which is selected based on interview. The stipend for the internship is around? 31000 rs per month.

Internships Opportunities:

As stated earlier there aren't any direct placement offers but an internship provides one of the highest stipends in the country as that of AIIMS level. Also, the best thing is that there is no bond service so you can immediately opt for PG

Welcome to DHGMCH!

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure and faculty of our college.
I like the fest and hostel maintenance of our college.

What I didn’t like

The canteen food is not with par. It can be better.
The unavailability of sports ground. It is under construction.

Placement Experience:

We don't get placements from college as this is not engineering field. However, after MBBS, one gets plenty job offers as house staff and junior resident in various hospitals. Almost everyone gets placed.

Internships Opportunities:

We have to go for a compulsory rotatory internship after completion of our course. It is mandatory for each student. The salary during internship is ? 30k, which is a fair amount. We get our degree post internship.
