Read Full Review1. Everyone has a dream. But MBBS was not my dream it was my choice as it was a pretty good career option and most importantly you got a chance to serve the people. 2. Here all the teachers are qualified doctors. So they are not only teacher. Every professor is post-graduated. 3. Some teachers teach by doing board work and they teach well. But there are a few professors who come and turn on the projector and start reading the ppts. And I hate this method of PPT. 4. Each year you have to take 2 semesters and one professional exam at the end of the year. Difficulty level is from moderate to difficult. 5. As it is a government college there is no fee hike. For each semester you have to pay 4500. 6. There are many scholarships available such as SVMCM, OASIS, OIKASHREE, etc.
Look like other courses in other colleges the placement criteria are different. After completing MBBS most of the students start preparing for the PG entrance exam for specialization. Some students start house-staffship in hospital. Otherwise, you can apply for an RMOship choose rural services, or apply to any private hospital. After mobs, you can easily earn 50-60k as per your capabilities.

Read Full ReviewMBBS is a professional course on the way to a noble profession. The course curriculum is extensive, and there is considerable pressure on students with the vast material to cover. The faculty are excellent. For the 1st year, we have 6 professors for Anatomy, 4 professors for Physiology, 4 professors and 6 PGTs for Biochemistry. All associate professors are MBBS, MD. The faculty are experienced and extremely helpful, with a very good grip and knowledge about their particular subject. We have theory classes from 9 to 12 every day with each subject allotted one hour. For Anatomy and Physiology, we have different professors teaching several chapters simultaneously on subsequent days. Theory classes are followed up by Practical classes. There is no fee hike policy. The tuition fee is INR 12500 per year. Scholarships available for West Bengal state domicile students are the Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship and Aikyashree for minority students.
One of the advantages of MBBS is that employment is assured after completion of the course. For better opportunities however further post-graduation and specialisation is necessary. From our batch onwards, we will probably have the National Exit Exam (NEXT) to qualify for MD or MS. I plan on pursuing an MS (Master of Surgery) after my MBBS, followed by specialisation.
