Details about raiganj government medical college and hospital.

What I Liked

Infrastructure is completely new and everything is very cleaned and hygienic. Fests are fun. Annual fest is very interesting and lasts for 4 days
Faculty is very supportive and helpful. Teachers help students even in night and guide students about university exams and pg exams

What I didn’t like

Locality of college is very wrong as college is located completely outside the city
Local people's are not supportive and the road is not constructed connecting the city and there are no lights on road

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs course is for those students who want to become doctor . I chose this course because I want to become doctor and to help people's Faculties are doctors of hospital and minimum qualification of faculty is completion of graduation that is mbbs

Placement Experience:

After completing mbbs students can do work as house staff in their own hospital and along with that can apply for medical officer which is interview based in west bengal. Students can prepare for NEET PG exam after completing mbbs

Life of a medico at RGMCH

What I Liked

The infrastructure is beautiful. We have a really big campus.
The isolated location of the college helps the students to focus very efficiently on their ultimate goal.

What I didn’t like

The rural location, at the same point of time, provides no recreational activities.
The lack of co-curricular activities and cultural clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as it was dream to study medicine since a really young age. The faculties are mighly qualified. All of them have a minimum qualification of MD/MS. In the course of 4 years we have a total of 9 semesters and 4 proffs ( MBs) with a decent level of difficulty. Various scholarships are available. I myself get the SVMCM every year.

Placement Experience:

In the medical curriculum placement isn't the most appropriate terminology to be used. After the completion of our academic course, we are offered an internship for a year where we are paid a stipend of 30000 per month. And finally after the MBBS degree, a doctor can either pursue for further studies or join a job, according to his own free will.

RGMCH: an emotion for MBBS students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the MBBS course to become a doctor and to become eligible for upcoming NExT exam for higher studies. The faculty student ratio is quite impressive here. All of the facilities have at least MBBS and MD degree. There are three internal semester exams and at the end of the course we have to give to the final prof exam.

Placement Experience:

As it is a government medical College, we get the opportunity of internship with approximately 30000 rupees of monthly stipend at the end of MBBS course after 4.5 years. After completion of internship one can go for post graduation or can get house-staffship, rmo, gdmo jobs as per their ambition.
