- Infrastructure is completely new and everything is very cleaned and hygienic. Fests are fun. Annual fest is very interesting and lasts for 4 days
- Faculty is very supportive and helpful. Teachers help students even in night and guide students about university exams and pg exams
Dislikes
- Locality of college is very wrong as college is located completely outside the city
- Local people's are not supportive and the road is not constructed connecting the city and there are no lights on road
Remarks :
I chose this college because fees is very low in west bengal compared to other states. Overall college is good but it is located outside the raiganj city and the road connecting to city is not yet constructed, so it makes difficult for students to go to hospital specially during rainy season. Exam for getting into mbbs is neet ug exam. Cutoff for rajganj government medical college this year is 656 marks out of 720 for all India students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mbbs course is for those students who want to become doctor . I chose this course because I want to become doctor and to help people's Faculties are doctors of hospital and minimum qualification of faculty is completion of graduation that is mbbs
Internships Opportunities :
1 year of internship is in medical colleges of west bengal. Intern doctors have job in hospital and they get paid monthly. Monthly salary of interns is 32000/- and interns get paid for a period of one year
Placement Experience :
After completing mbbs students can do work as house staff in their own hospital and along with that can apply for medical officer which is interview based in west bengal. Students can prepare for NEET PG exam after completing mbbs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are 9 semesters in mbbs , for each semester students have to pay 4500 rupees so total fees of course is 40,500. There is 12 rupees hostel fees of each month. Other than this there is no extra fees for anything. Equal fees for every category.
Campus Life :
Fest is conducted every year along with prefest events after dipawali in November or December. Almost every book needed in mbbs course are available at library of RGMC&H and along with that daily newspaper are available free of cost to read. Library remains open from 10 AM to 9PM except for Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday library closes at 2PM and on Sunday library remains off. There is no proper ground for playing games like football and cricket .extracurricular activities are very limited.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel mess is changed recently and have better quality than the previous mess. There are limited options for vegetarians in menu(paneer is the only dish) In non veg students can get fish chicken mutton along with rice dal and one vegetable. Registration for hostel is along with admission and everyone can afford hostel as it is almost free for everyone.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
