BHMS Admission 2023: Eligibility 

  • The candidate wishing to apply for the BHMS course in any college in India should be of a minimum age of 17 at the time they apply for admission.
  • The candidate should qualify for their 10+2 or equivalent exam with an average mark of 50% for the general category and 45% for reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, and others, with core subjects of Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
  • Although some colleges offer admission to BHMS courses according to the student’s 12th marks, getting qualifying marks in NEET-UG is a requirement for most BHMS colleges in India. 
  • The candidate wishing to apply in a State level exam held for a BHMS degree must have a domicile certificate for that state to appear in the exam.

BHMS Admission 2023: How to Apply?

If student seeking admission to a BHMS course meets all the selection criteria mentioned above, he/she can proceed to take admission in the BHMS course in the college of their choice. The admission process steps are mentioned below:-

  • Step 1: The first step would be filling out the application form for NEET entrance exam or the university exam.
  • Step 2: After the application form is approved, the student will get their admit card, generally 1-2 months prior to the examination date.
  • Step 3: Appear in the entrance exam and wait for the result. 
  • Step 4: For students who appeared in a university exam, and qualify for the exam with the required passing marks, they can proceed with documentation verification and fee payment, and other procedures and get admission in that University.
