What's New In NEET 2026?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official brochure for NEET 2025 on 16th January 2025 available on the official website The brochure has the information of the official exam mode for NEET 2025:
- The NEET 2025 exam is scheduled on 4th May 2025.
- Registration for NEET 2025 begins from February 7, 2025.
- According to the official exam mode released by the NTA, NEET 2025 will be a paper based test (PBT).
- NEET 2025 exam will have MCQs with +4 marks for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer.
- Candidates with the minimum age of 17 and the completion of class 12th are eligible for NEET 2025.

What is the schedule for NEET 2025?
NEET 2025 is expected to be scheduled on 4th May 2025, from 2 pm to 5:20 pm in over 550 cities in India and abroad.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Mode
NEET 2025 will be a paper-pen based test (PBT). NEET 2025 exam will be of 3 hours and consist of only MCQs. NTA has released the official NEET 2025 exam mode on the official website.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern
NEET UG 2025 will be conducted offline as a pen-paper based test with a duration of 3 hours. Candidates need to solve 180 questions worth the total of 720 marks.
Will NEET 2025 be in two phases?
No, NEET 2025 will only have one phase of exams, same as previous years. It will only be conducted once a year.
NEET exam focuses on the class 11th and class 12th Physics, Chemistry and Biology NCERT textbooks. Each of these is divided into two sections:
- Section A: Section A consists of 35 MCQ questions.
- Section B: Section B consists of 5 questions with no options.

NEET UG 2025 Registration
The application form for NEET 2025 is released on 7 February 2025 on the official website.
Is NEET 2025 registration started?
Candidates will have to fill and submit the application form, including the payment of the application fee, online:
- Visit the official website.
- Click on the NEET 2025 Registration tab under the Latest News section
- Read the instructions carefully and click on the agreement checkbox
- Enter the mandatory details such as personal and contact details, and generate a password
- Verify the details by entering the OTP received on your mobile number and email address
- The registration credentials such as application number and password will be sent to candidates through email
- Login with the NEET 2025 registration credentials to complete the application form
- Fill in the mandatory details in each section such as personal, educational, medium of question paper, exam city preference, documents upload (photograph, signature, finger and thumb impressions, category certificate, etc.) and other information
- Pay the application fee in online mode with Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking and UPI.

NEET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria
As per the eligibility criteria Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals are all eligible to apply for NEET UG 2025.
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also eligible for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. They need to submit a self - declaration confirming their identity during the application process.
More details about the Eligibility Criteria is listed below:
- Candidates should have passed or scheduled to appear for the Class 12 Board exam with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects
- Candidates belonging to:
General category should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in class 12th.
PwD category candidates should secure 45% aggregate in class 12th.
SC, ST, OBC, Reserved PWD should secure 40% aggregate in class 12th.
- Candidates must be the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2025.There is no upper age limit.
- Indian nationals/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who wish to pursue MBBS/BDS from a foreign university also have to qualify for NEET 2025.
NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
NEET 2025 admit card will be released by 1st May 2025 as the exam is scheduled on 4th May 2025.
Once the admit card is released, candidates can download it from the official website:

- Click on the link indicating the NEET 2025 Admit Card download
- Enter the NTA NEET 2025 Application Number and Password or any other available login option
- Enter the Security Pin

NEET UG 2025 Answer Key
The NTA releases the answer key after 1 month of the scheduled exam. The NEET 2025 exam is scheduled on 4th May 2025, which means the answer is expected to be released in June 2025. There are two types of Answer keys:
