NTA has released the NEET 2022 Biology Exam Pattern along with the information brochure. The exam pattern for the biology part, as well as other sections, was updated last year. According to the revised NEET paper pattern for Biology, the section has been divided into two disciplines, namely Zoology and Botany, with two portions in each subject, namely section A and section B.   • There are 35 questions in the first section, referred to as section A, and 15 questions in the second section, referred to as section B.
  • Candidates can choose 10 objective-type questions from section B based on their preferences. 
  • The entrance exam will be given in 13 languages, with candidates having the option of selecting and entering their chosen language.

Candidates will receive four marks for each right answer in NEET 2022. For marking an erroneous answer, however, a -1 will be deducted. Candidates need to fill out the OMR sheet with their responses. NEET Biology 2022 Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme

  • According to the NEET Biology Exam Pattern, each correct answer in NEET Biology Paper is worth four points.
  • Negative marks will be deducted if you mark an incorrect answer.
  • Unanswered questions will receive a zero mark.
  • Questions with four responses will be considered incorrect if more than one response is marked on the OMR sheet. As a result, the question will receive a -1 as a negative marking.

Important Points For Marking OMR Sheet

Before filling out the NEET 2022 OMR sheet, candidates must verify the following criteria.

  • Only the ballpoint pen provided in the exam venue on the day of the exam should be used to mark all responses.
  • It is not permitted to change answers on the OMR sheet.
  • It will be considered a violation if candidates remove any responses from the OMR sheet.
  • Candidates are only allowed to complete preliminary work on the test booklet provided by the examiner in the exam room.
  • A candidate must remember to write the code for the test booklet on the OMR sheet.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • The NEET Admit Card must be brought and provided to the exam centre for verification on the day of the entrance exam. One original and valid picture identification proof, such as an Aadhar Card, Passport, College ID, PAN Card, Driver's License, Voter ID, or Employer ID, must be brought with the admission card.
  • On the day of the exam, no beverages or food will be permitted inside the exam venue. Only those candidates who are ill are allowed to bring their medicine inside the exam room.
  • When both the candidate's signature and photograph are visible on the NEET Admit Card, it will be declared legitimate.
  • Candidates must be at the examination site 60 minutes before the scheduled examination hour.
  • Candidates are eligible to take the entrance exam once their credentials have been validated by the exam centre's responsible authorities.
  • Candidates who plan to take the entrance exam should make sure that the test booklet has the same number of pages as the one listed on the cover.
