Following the announcement of the results, the NTA will publish the NEET 2022 Cut off percentile. The cut-off score is the minimum score a candidate must achieve to pass the NEET 2022 exam.

  • On the scorecard, both the NEET cut-off marks and the NEET cut-off percentile will be listed.
  • The aspirants can enrol their names for NEET 2022 Counselling Process if they meet the cut off marks.
  • NEET 2022 Merit List will be evaluated for admission (under 15% AIQ) to veterinary colleges for undergraduate courses such as BVSc and Animal Husbandry.

According to previous year's trends, the general category cut-off is 720-138, and the OBC/SC/ST category cut-off is 137-108. NEET Cut Off for AIQ seats will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks by the MCC.

Key points to consider for NEET 2022

  • For admission to various Undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and others, students must take the NEET 2022 exam.
  • For admission to undergraduate AYUSH courses, interested individuals must take the NEET exam (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy).
  • Under the 15% All India Quota, the NEET 2022 Merit List will now be utilized to grant seats in veterinary colleges for undergraduate degrees such as BVSc. and Animal Husbandry.
  • NTA makes the cut-offs for MBBS and BDS shortlisting to 76928, 525 (BVSc and AH), and 26949 to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH course work, respectively.

NEET 2022 expected Cut-off Percentile

The procedure for calculating percentile marks is detailed in the section below on the minimum qualifying percentile.

  • At the time of the result, the percentile cut-off is announced along with the NEET 2021 scorecard.
  • Unlike JEE Main, where the counseling cut-off is substantially higher, NEET has a low percentile cut-off of only 50 percentiles.

NEET Previous Year cut-off for 15% AIQ

For admission to medical and dental institutes participating in NEET, the NTA will provide a 15% All India Quota NEET Merit List. Candidates with scores equal to or higher than the NEET cut-off will be eligible for All India Quota admissions, except those from Jammu and Kashmir. Through MCC's NEET All India Quota Counseling, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined other states in receiving 15% of MBBS and BDS seats in Government Medical and Dental Colleges. NEET 2022 Counseling and Seat Allotment

Candidates can register for the NEET 2022 counseling round after the NEET 2022 result has been announced. They will be able to engage in the counseling procedure based on their NEET 2022 ranking. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will hold NEET 2022 counseling for the 15% All India Quota seats, while the remaining 85 percent state quota seats will be governed by the appropriate authorities. The NEET counseling procedure will be performed online, and candidates will be able to fill up their college preferences based on their rank list.

NEET 2022 Exam 15 percent AIQ Merit List

  • To finish the admission test for dentistry and medical universities, the NTA will publish a 15% AIQ Merit List.
  • Aspirants who receive equivalent or higher marks than the cut-off score (except in J&K) would be eligible for the 15% AIQ for the admission procedure.
  • Students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can also apply for admission to government medical and dental institutes if their AIQ is less than 15%.

Factors Determining the NEET 2022 Cut-off

Every year, a variety of factors might influence the NEET cut-off. The cut-off for a specific year rises or falls mostly as a result of the batch and exam difficulty. The threshold may be increased if the batch does very well in the top 10 percentile.   • Assume that a candidate received Rank x in the examination and that the total number of candidates who took the entrance exam was y.
  • The percentile will be calculated using the formula [(y-x)/y] *100.

Ans. No, the NEET exam cut-off varies with the category of the candidates. The conducting body NTA releases separate cut-off marks for each category. The cut-off differs for different categories and the candidate of a particular category needs to score the minimum cut-off marks corresponding to that category.
