What's New in Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2024?
The Karnataka UGNEET counselling 2025 registration process has been reopened for the candidates who did not apply for the counselling during the UGCET 2025. The KEA NEET 2025 application forms for the UGNEET counselling are available from July 7, 2025 (8:00 PM) till July 10, 2025 (11:00 AM).
The KEA UGCET 2025 registration window was open from January 23 to February 18, 2025, on the official website — cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugcet2025. Following the NEET 2025 result declaration on June 14, Karnataka NEET UG counselling has commenced. Registration for UGCET 2025 was mandatory to participate in the KEA NEET UG counselling. However, candidates who appeared for the NEET UG exam on May 4, 2025, but did not register for UGCET 2025, still have the opportunity to participate by completing their registration by July 10, 2025.

Aspirants willing to participate in Karnataka NEET counselling 2025 must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to attend the same:
- A candidate should be an Indian citizen/OCI/NRI.
- Candidate must have qualified for NEET 2025.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
- For reserved category candidates (SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B), the minimum aggregate score is 40% in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for any type of reservation in the counselling process.
Karnataka NEET 2025 Counsellling Application Procedure
Qualified candidates of NEET 2025 should follow the given steps mentioned below to participate in the Karnataka NEET counselling process:
- Visit the official website- kea.kar.nic.in.
- On the home page, click the ‘Click here to register’ link.
- Click the "Apply online" button.
- To register, enter your name, parent’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, and unique password and submit the form.
- After successful registration, an application ID and password will be generated which will be sent to the registered mail ID and mobile number.
- Make payment for the counselling through a credit card/debit card/net banking/E-challan.
- Once registration is successful, log into your account using the application ID, password, and security pin.
- Fill in your personal information like permanent and correspondence addresses, category, and any reservations, if applicable.
- This should be followed by filling in academic information like class 10 and 12 marks, exam board, and year of passing.
- Upload your recent passport-size colored photograph (JPG/ JPEG format) and signature in a specific format.
- Scan and upload your left-hand thumb impression.
- Once all data has been filled and documents are uploaded, pay the application fee using a credit/ debit card, net banking, or e-challan.

Karnataka NEET 2025 Counselling Process
The Karnataka NEET Counselling process involves the below-mentioned steps:
- Online registration and filling up of application form.
- Document Verification.
- Choice Filling and Locking.
- Seat Allotment.
- Fee Payment.
- Reporting.
Karnataka NEET 2025 Counselling Document Verification
Candidates who applied for the Karnataka NEET counselling process would be called for document verification at a specific verification center based on rank, date, and time. Such candidates have to carry the following documents in original and self-attested copies:
- NEET 2025 Admit Card
- NEET 2025 Score Card
- Print out of MBBS/BDS application form for Karnataka.
- Class 10th Mark sheets and pass certificates
- Class 12th Mark sheets and pass certificates
- Photo ID proof and photograph
- Study certificate verified by a Block Education Officer or Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI)
- Hyderabad-Karnataka Region Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
- Rural study certificate (if claiming rural quota)
During document verification, officials will check the original documents and will keep the self-attested copies for record purposes. An acknowledgment slip will be provided which is to be kept safely for future use.
Choice Filling and Locking
During the Karnataka NEET Counselling process, each candidate will be given a secret key along with an acknowledgment slip. This key will be used for making choices on the "Option-entry portal" and is to be kept secret. There is no limit to the number of choices a candidate makes during the counselling process.
Seat Allocation
The conducting authority will publish the seat allotment result separately for each round for the candidates who have registered themselves for the counselling process. KEA offers the following types of seats- G-Government Seats, P-Private Seats, N-NRI Seats, and Q-Other Seats.
Option 1: Candidates who are satisfied with their seat allocation are not required to participate in subsequent rounds of Counselling.
Option 2: If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, but still wishes to participate in subsequent rounds he/she must give up the assigned seat.
Option 3: If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, he/she must give up the assigned seat and may participate in subsequent rounds.
Option 4: If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat and does not want to participate in the next round of seat allotment, he/ she can decline the seats.
Reporting
Once the allocation of seats is done through counselling and candidates are satisfied with the allotted seat, they should follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the official website (kea.kar.nic.in) of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and confirm the choice of seat.
- Make a payment of the required fee.
- Report to the allotted institute and complete the admission formality.
