The Medical Counselling Committee will publish the seat allotment list for NTA NEET 2024 counselling at mcc.nic.in. The seat allotment procedure shall be separately scheduled for three rounds, which are inclusive of the mop-up.

• First-round in the seat allotment process for NEET will be held a few weeks after the exam.

NEET 2024 was conducted to fill over 1 lakh MBBS, 27868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc, and AH seats across the country. Candidates must note that the seat allotment process will be done taking into consideration the marks obtained in the examination, seat availability, filled preferences, cutoff set by the colleges and other factors.

What Is NTA NEET Seat Allotment Procedure?

After the announcement of NEET seat allotment results, candidates will be provided with an option to accept or refuse the allotted seat. Medical aspirants who will be allotted seats can check the further process below.

• If the candidate accepts the allotted seat, he/she needs to download the allotment letter by entering their roll number, date of birth & security pin.
• Candidates must report at the designated centres with their allotment letter, required documents and certificates for verification.
• The admission process after seat allotment will be done for two or three days only. Thus, candidates are advised to report to the allotted institute immediately after the release of the allotment list.
• Candidates will have to undergo a medical examination that mentions that they are medically fit.
• After the admission is granted, the allotted college will send the details of the candidate to DGHS. Based on these details, the admission letter will be granted to the candidate.
• In case, the candidate does not accept the allotted seat after the first round of seat allotment and he/she does not want to participate in the counselling, then free exit will be considered. This means that no refundable fees will be deducted.
• After the second round of counselling non-acceptance of seats will lead to the deduction of refundable fees.
• If the candidate is not allotted a seat and wishes to participate in subsequent rounds of seat allotment, they will have to opt for the choices. Such candidates will also have to provide their fresh choices of colleges for other rounds of seat allotment. However, after the second round of counselling, this option will not be available.

What Is NTA NEET Seat Allotment Reservation Criteria?

Aspirants are advised to go through the reservation criteria to have a better understanding of the available seats. The reservation criteria is 15% of the All India seats are reserved under centralized policy and the remaining 85% of seats are reserved under state quota which will be allotted as per the state's availability of the seats.
