The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh is conducting Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2024. The Stray Vacancy round 3 schedule is released on the official website upneet.gov.in. UP NEET 2024 round 3 counselling registration starts on October 7, 2024. Candidates can register with their course, roll number and NEET application number, upload the documents, and pay the registration fee & security deposit by October 9, 2024. The merit list will be out on October 10. Shortlisted candidates can submit their preferences from October 11 to October 15, 2024.
Based on the vacancy, rank, and choices, UP NEET UG 2024 third round seat allotment result will be released on October 18, 2024. Check the allotment status on the official website. Log in with your roll number, NEET application number and select the course to check the allotment result. Candidates allotted seats in this round can download the allotment order and complete admission from October 19 to October 23, 2024.
- DMET released the UP NEET UG round 1 and round 2 seat allotment results on August 30 and September 28, 2024.
Only those who have qualified NEET 2024 by scoring equal to more than the minimum cutoff will be eligible to sit for UP Counselling rounds. There will likely be 3 rounds of counselling and seats are allotted on the basis of marks obtained in NEET 2024 as well your preference. UP NEET counselling is conducted for 85% of state quota seats. For the remaining 15%, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET counselling for All India quota seats.

UP NEET Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the following requirements to be eligible for UP NEET Counselling 2024:
- Candidates should have passed the 12th board examination from a recognised institution in Uttar Pradesh.
- Candidates must have qualified for NEET 2024.
- Candidates need to produce the “General Resident Certificate” in the prescribed format as and when required for documentation.
- The candidate must be 17 years of age.
Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the UP NEET Counselling, candidates need to qualify 12th with compulsory subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The educational qualification is tabulated below for different category candidates:

UP NEET 2024 Counselling Process
The steps of UP NEET Counselling process are mentioned below:
- Registration: Candidates need to register themselves on the official website of UP NEET https://upneet.gov.in/. Only one-time Registration is required for all the rounds of the UP NEET Counselling Process. Candidates need to pay a counselling fee of INR 2000 for registration which can be paid through any online mode of payment.
- Payment of Security Money: After completing the registration process, candidates need to pay refundable security money. This amount of security money differs from college to college or from private colleges to government colleges in Uttar Pradesh. This security money is to be paid via Demand Draft in favour of the “Director General, Medical Education & Training, UP”, payable at Lucknow.

- Document Verification: After successfully depositing the security money, the candidate needs to report to the required centres for document verification within a stipulated time.
- Choice Filling & Locking: After completing the documentation process, candidates need to revisit the official website for Choice Filling and Locking of preferred colleges of UP. This process has to be completed before the allocated time, only then their application will be considered for the UP NEET Counselling Process. After this, based on the seat availability and marks scored in the exam, the seat allotment list will be released for the selected candidates.
- Final Reporting to the Allocated College: After the release of the UP NEET Seat Allotment list, candidates need to report to the allocated college with all the required documents within the stipulated time.

There are different scholarships provided for VIT students and each has different Criteria. Some of them are mentioned below.
- VITEEE Scholarship under GV School Development Programme (GVSDP): Scholarships are given to the rank scored in VITEEE in the first year of the program and are continued on the basis of the criteria mentioned in the award letter issued during admission.
- Smt. Rajeswari Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships given to meritorious candidates from an economically weak background who satisfy the criteria specified in the application.
- Merit Awards for NRI and Foreign students: For the top 10 students of each branch of a program from 1st to final year with a record of 75% above attendance and no history of arrears, also do not violate the university's code of conduct.
- Cent percent Attendance Awards: Students who maintain a record of 100% attendance
- Sports Scholarship: For the students with great records and performance in various sports.
