What's New in NEET Registration 2026?
NEET registration Window 2026 is open on the official website. Registration for NEET started on 8 February 2026. Eligible students can apply for NEET 2026 on the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.

Last date for NEET registration 2026 is 8 March 2026, 9:00 PM.
- To register for NEET 2026, you must have completed or be appearing in class 12th with PCB subjects.
- A minimum of 50% (40% for reserved categories) is required in class 12th to be eligible for NEET 2026.
- You must be born on or before 31 December 2009 to be eligible for NEET 2026.
- To register for NEET 2026, you must pay an application fee of INR 1700 (1600 for OBC/EWS and INR 1000 for SC/ST/PWD).
- For exam centers outside India, the NEET registration fee is INR 9500.
Changes in NEET Registration Process 2026
This year, NTA has introduced some changes in NEET registration 2026 as listed below.
- Aadhar eKYC: NTA has introduced Aadhar eKYC for identity verification.
- Live Photo Verification: During NEET Registration, you must capture a live photo instead of uploading a scanned photo. The live photo will be automatically compared to the photo updated on your Aadhaar.
- Exam City Selection: Students will now be allotted NEET exam center and medium based on their permanent or present address submitted during the NEET registration.

How to Apply for NEET 2026

NEET Registration 2026
- Visit the official website of NEET 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in.
- On the official website, click on the link displaying “Registration for NEET(UG)-2026”.
- A new page will open, click on “New Registration” tab.
- Read instructions carefully and tap on “Click Here to Proceed”.
- Now, fill out your personal, contact, and address details and click on “Submit”.
- Now create and submit your password to complete the NEET registration.

- After registration, you must log in using your NEET application Number and Password.
- Now, fill out your personal details like Name, DOB, Parents’ Names, etc.
- You must also fill out your class 12 passing state, category, country of residence, income, etc.
- Fill out your Aadhar, photo ID, and Apaar ID details.
- Now, choose your question paper medium, exam city choices, and father’s/mother’s/guardian’s occupation details.
- Fill out class 10th and class 12th details.
- Now, fill out the additional and emergency contact details.
- Capture your live photograph and proceed to upload your documents.
- Upload all the required documents.

Last step to complete your NEET 2026 application is the application fee payment. You must pay the fee as prescribed by NTA on the NEET official brochure.

Ques. Is an income certificate required for NEET registration?
Ans. No, an income certificate is not required for NEET registration 2026. You only need to upload the category certificate to claim reservation and fee concession benefits.

Ans. For dropper students, no additional documents are required. Such candidates must submit documents as required by other candidates, including a photograph, signature, class 10 certificate, marksheet, ID proof, address proof, etc.

This year, you are not required to upload a photograph manually. You must capture a live photo while registering for NEET 2026. So, there is no requirement of name and a time stamp on your photograph.
Should the photograph be without spects only?
You can take photograph with spectacles only if you use it regularly. Those who do not wear spectacles regularly must upload photograph without spectacles.
What are the dimensions for uploading the photograph and signature files?
Your photograph must be between 10 and 200 kb, and your signature must be between 10 and 100 kb.

NEET Application Form Correction Window
NEET application form correction window will be made available from 10 to 12 March 2026.
- Correction window will be a one-time facility, no changes will be accepted after the correction window is closed.
- Corrections will be accepted only after the payment of prescribed fee.
- In case changes affect the fee amount, additional charges will be applicable accordingly.
- Any access payments made during NEET correction window will not be refunded.
