NEET 2026 Merit List vs NEET Cutoff
NEET merit list and NEET cutoff are two different parameters; however, both are important for NEET counselling 2026.
- NEET merit list includes the ranking of the candidates who qualified the examination and is prepared based on the NEET 2026 marks.
- NEET cutoff is the minimum marks required to qualify NEET and get admission to the courses offered after NEET.
NEET Merit List 2026: Tie Breaking Criteria
Students will gain admission to various UG courses, such as MBBS and BDS, at top medical colleges across the country through the NEET 2025 exam. If students obtain the same marks in the exam, then the tie-breaking formula will be applied. The following method will be used for tie-breaking:
- Marks in Biology: The student securing higher marks in Biology will be given the top rank.
