BTech Agriculture Engineering Admission Process

Admission to agricultural engineering colleges is taken through both merit-based and entrance exam-based, and the admission process aims to select deserving candidates based on their academic performance and entrance exam (if applicable). The admission process for both merit-based and entrance-exam-based are explained below for your reference.

Entrance-Based Admission

Application & Entrance Exam

• Students must fill out the application form for various exams such as JEE, and other state CET, ICAR, before the deadlines are over.
• Students are then allowed to appear for the exams on said date, time, and location.

Ranking & Counseling

• The cutoffs for each category of students are announced.
• Based on the entrance exam scores and ranks, candidates are shortlisted for counseling rounds.
• The counseling process involves document verification, seat allocation, and fee payment for admission confirmation.

Merit-Based Admission

Academic Performance

• Some colleges offer merit-based admission to students with excellent academic performance in 10+2 exams, particularly in relevant subjects physics, mathematics, and chemistry/biology.

Application Process

• Colleges roll out their application forms, and students are required to fill out the application form for each college separately to be called for admission.

Counseling & Selection

• Those who clear the eligibility of academic performance, and application, are called for further documentation process.
• After the verification process is done offer letters are floated to the candidates.
• Confirmation of seat allocated is only valid once the selected students have paid the fee before the due date as mentioned by the college
