What is MICAT?
Mundra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) conducts its entrance exam MICAT for admission to PGDM-C and PGDM courses. MICAT exam is conducted twice each year as MICAT phase I and MICAT phase II. MICAT aspirants must appear and qualify for CAT, XAT, or GMAT.
Candidates are advised to sit for MICAT Phase I and MICAT Phase II. MICA will accept the better of the two MICAT exam performances for shortlisting candidates for further admission process.

MICAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
MICAT 2026 candidates’ must fulfill the MICAT eligibility criteria to be able to appear for MICAT exam.
- Academic Qualification: A 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Candidates appearing for their Bachelor’s degree final examination are also eligible for MICAT 2026.
- Compulsory Exam: MICAT 2026 candidates must also have valid scores in National-level management entrance exams, CAT 2020, XAT 2025, or GMAT 2018 onwards to meet MICAT 2026 eligibility criteria.
- Foreign/ NRI Candidates: Candidates must have valid scores from GMAT 2012 onwards and a valid passport to meet MICAT 2026 eligibility criteria.

MICAT syllabus 2026 can be divided into 3 sections namely:
- Section A: Psychometric Test is a personality test that includes questions on the candidate's personality, thinking ability, strengths and weaknesses. Questions often focus on career goals, life choices, and situation-based judgments.
- Section B: Descriptive Test assesses the candidate's knowledge and creativity. Here, candidates are asked to describe or give their perspective on certain situations, or images.
