Phase-I Counselling Guidelines

Seat Matrix and Web Options

  • The seat matrix will be displayed on the official university website before candidates begin exercising their web options.
  • Candidates can select an unlimited number of options for courses and colleges but are advised to choose only those they are genuinely interested in joining.

Eligibility Restrictions

  • Candidates who participated in Stray/Special Stray rounds in 2023-24 but did not join their allotted seats.
  • Candidates who discontinued courses from 2021-22 onwards.
  • Lists of debarred candidates will be available on the university website.

Allotment and Reporting

  • Pay a University Fee of ₹49,600 through the online payment gateway.
  • Download the provisional allotment order and report to the allotted college within the specified timeline.
  • Submit original certificates, tuition fees, and bonds during admission.

Admission Verification

  • Original certificates will be verified at the college during admission. Discrepancies may lead to the cancellation of the provisional allotment.

Upgrade and Non-Joining

  • Candidates who fail to join their allotted Phase-I seats will not be eligible for those seats in Phase-II.
  • Phase-I joined candidates can opt for free exit as per the notified schedule.

Phase-II Counselling Process

Eligibility for Phase-II

Candidates eligible for Phase-II counselling include:

  • Those who reported to their Phase-I seats.
  • Those who were not allotted any seats in Phase I.
  • Those allotted a seat in Phase I but did not join.

Web Options and Upgrades

  • Similar to Phase I, candidates can exercise web options for available specializations and colleges.
  • Phase-I joined candidates can upgrade to Phase-II, and their Phase-I seats will be automatically vacated and allotted to other candidates based on merit.

Phase-III (Mop-Up Round) Counselling

Eligibility for Phase-III

  • Candidates who reported to their Phase-I/Phase-II seats.
  • Candidates were not allotted any seats in earlier phases.
  • Candidates who were allotted seats but did not join in Phase-I/Phase-II (cannot reclaim vacated seats).

Reporting and Restrictions

  • Phase-III allotted candidates cannot participate in subsequent rounds.
  • Candidates must carefully choose between their Phase-III allotment and any All India Quota (AIQ)/Deemed seats.

Sliding and Vacated Seats

  • Seats vacated in Phase I and Phase II due to upgrades will be reallocated to other candidates based on merit.

Stray Vacancy Round

Fresh Registrations

  • A fresh registration and choice-filling process will be conducted for the Stray Vacancy Round. Choices from earlier phases will not be considered.

Eligibility

  • Candidates not holding any seat from previous rounds.
  • Those not allotted any seat in earlier phases are eligible.

Ineligibility

  • Candidates holding seats in earlier rounds of State or All India Counselling are not eligible.

Reporting

  • Candidates allotted seats in the Stray Vacancy Round must join their allotted colleges. Failure to do so will result in debarment from AP State Counselling for one academic year.
