NALSAR in collaboration with IICA is inviting applications for the LLM program in Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws. Candidates can apply online through the NALSAR admission portal before May 15, 2025. The selection will be based on an online entrance examination and personal interview.

NALSAR LLM Eligibility

  • Candidates must have a LLB Degree or any other Bachelor's Degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
  • Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s program are also eligible to apply.
  • There is no maximum age restriction for course enrollment.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade is provided for SC / ST category candidates.
  • To qualify for Resident Student of Telangana category seats, candidates must meet the following conditions in addition to the standard eligibility requirements and performance in the entrance examination and personal interview:
    • Candidate must have studied in Telangana for four consecutive years and appeared for the qualifying examination within the state; or
    • Candidate should have resided in Telangana for at least four years within the preceding seven years and completed their LLB from an educational institution located in Telangana.

  • Candidates in their final year of LLB or those whose results are still to be declared may submit their previous year's mark sheet, such students would have to produce their final year certificates (at least provisional) by August 1, 2025.

NALSAR LLM Admission Selection Process

  • The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the online examination (60% weightage) and personal interview (40% weightage).
  • The entrance exam will consist of 100 MCQs to be attempted in a 2-hour duration.
  • The questions of the entrance exam will be based on the following: Law of Contract, Sale of Goods Act, Property Law, Company Law, Tax Law, SEBI and Capital Markets Corporate Finance & IBC Code.

Note:

  • 19 seats horizontal reservation shall be applicable for Female candidates for admission to LLM IBL.
  • 3 seats horizontal reservation shall be applicable for PWD category candidates
  • Three additional candidates may be admitted over and above the sanctioned intake under the All India Unreserved Category every year for the LLM IBL Program to meet the future vacancies due to the withdrawal of candidates after admissions.
  • If a candidate belonging to a reserved category qualifies for admission under the Unreserved category as per merit, then the candidate shall be considered against the Unreserved category seat only and not against the reserved category seat.
  • For admission against the reserved category seats, the candidate will have to submit the relevant certificate.
