Course Curriculum Overview:

This course offers a mix of BA subjects and law subjects, faculty are highly experienced and well versed in their subject. Term exams are always conducted in a timely manner. The exams are difficult, but the well trained faculty ensure students are prepped to do well in the exams

Placement Experience:

Since this is the best law college, several top firms take in NLSIU students, placements are not commonplace however. Internships are compulsory and the college will provide companies to intern with, the student must simply mail the company and will get accepted based on availability

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I had great interest in the field of law which propelled me to give the CLAT exam and join the university. The faculty is mostly based out of the top law schools in the country and they are highly qualified. The academic rigour is quite high and there are many exams held in one term which are at moderate- difficult level.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are pretty good and students are placed on the basis of their overall CGPA accumulated over the past 5 years which grants them placement into the top law firms and companies in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum, academics, and the faculty are all top notch. NLSIU is number 1 in terms of anything academics-related. I chose this course as it's the only one available for undergraduates in NLSIU, and I wanted to be admitted into NLSIU. The exams and assessments are based on a Continuous Evaluation principle. So they are spread over the duration of the trimester. Speaking of, NLSIU has a trimester system, which contributes heavily to its academic and scholarly atmosphere. End of the trimester exams take place for almost all courses in B.A. LL.B (Hons.) course. The internal assessments for each are specific to each course.

Placement Experience:

I've low experience with the placement and job opportunities. Kids who work hard get placements. I intend to pursue UPSC, with placements as my backup. 1st year B.A. LL.B students are mandatorily required to get an NGO internship. The kids are also free to pursue any internships in their free time themselves. Career Services shares internship opportunities on the students college email IDs.

The course is very rigourous and if you come here you learn to work as a machine, but a machine which is extremely efficient and perfect and doing what it does. The teachers are top-notch from Oxford and Harvard Universities. The academic support programme is superb. Term exams are held mid terms and end terms and a continuing evaluation.

Placement Experience:

Khaitan & Co., Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and AZB & Partners are top recruiters. You need atleast 5 CGPA for good placement. Highest package was 25 lakhs pa,lowest was 10 lakhs pa and average was 12 lakhs pa. 99% students got placed. I plan to go into litigation.

Chose Law as I had an interest in this field. Probably the best faculty available in the country with PhDs in different legal subjects. Discussion based classroom environment and not learning concept. Trimester system here, so end terms in 3 months and 1 month break. Very difficult exams and extreme effort required by students to pass the papers.

Placement Experience:

Good placements, have to pass all years to be able to sit for placements, all top law firms come for recruitment such as trilegal, SAM, CAM etc. Highest package 24lpa and average 16 lpa Almost 100 percent placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA LLB course is well structured and the course outlines are well thought out at NLS. The integration of BA with LLB allows for the students to also delve into the deeper details of reasoning and social factors that go into policymaking and judicial reasoning. About Faculty: The faculties at NLS are well-trained, highly professional and well-equipped with the knowledge of the subject that teach. They also push students to think critically of the law. About half the professors have completed their PhD and others have LLMs. Regarding examinations: The examinations are conducted at the end of every trimester. They are mostly moderate to difficult and are mostly open-ended questions. Regarding fees: For our batch of 2025, the fees have been constantly Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum. But for the current first years, it has been hiked to Rs. 4 lakhs. The college also provides scholarships and assists the students in applying for other national and state-level scholarships.

Placement Experience:

NLS has always had a good placement record. Almost everyone from the batch is placed with a law firm or a company. Top-tier law firms such as CAM, SAM, Trilegal, AZB, Khaitan, Saraf, Indus, Veritas, ICUL etc. offer internships and PPOs to the students. For our batch, about 40 students have already received PPOs and about 45 students are sitting for placements. Last year, about 30 students sat for placement and several offers were made to students. The average package offered is 17 lakhs while the highest goes up to 24 lakhs. I have got a PPO from Trilegal and will be joining the firm's corporate practice next year.
