The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), also known as NALSAR University of Law is a public and National University located in Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is among the first universities to offer the five-year integrated undergraduate law degree, postgraduate law degree and doctorate law degree.
NALSAR Hyderabad, the National Law School of India University, provides about six different courses, although it is most recognised for its full-time BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs. The institute is authorized to admit 132 students for the BA LLB (Hons) program and 50 for the LLM program. Admission is based on merit as assessed by CLAT. The Institute also offers MA, MBA, M.Phil, Ph.D, and PG Diploma in various specializations.

NALSAR Admission 2025
NALSAR offers admission to eligible students based on their performance in entrance exams. Both national and international students can apply. Admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs is based on scores from the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Registrations for admission are completed online through the official website @nalsar.ac.in. For MBA admission, the university conducts the NALSAR Management Entrance Test (N-MET PG), followed by a group discussion and personal interview. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD program must take an admission test, submit a research proposal, and, if selected, participate in an interview and complete a one-month research methodology coursework at the university.

NALSAR provides students with placement and internship opportunities through its dedicated Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC). MBA students are required to complete three internships over two years, including two winter internships and one summer internship. According to the NALSAR MBA Placement Report 2024, the highest stipend offered was INR 50,000, while the average stipend was INR 25,024 during summer internships. The student-run internship committee transforms into a Recruitment Committee in the second year.
