National Law School of India University has announced a new BA (Hons.) programme starting in session 2025. Candidates can apply online through the NLSIU Official website.The application forms will be available from the first week of January 2025. The application fee is INR 2500 for the Unreserved category and INR 2000 for candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC-NCL / PwD / EWS category.

NLSIU Bangalore BA Hons Eligibility

  • Candidates must have qualified higher secondary qualification (10+2) or an equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks.
  • Applicants from the SC / ST category should have graduated with an aggregate of not less than 45% of total marks.
  • Students in the final year of their higher-secondary education are eligible to apply. However, their admission will be provisional and subject to the successful completion of the minimum eligibility criteria. Selected candidates will receive a provisional admission offer and must submit a mark sheet confirming the completion of their higher secondary education. Failure to provide the proof by December 31, 2025, will result in the cancellation of the admission.

NLSIU Bangalore BA Hons Selection Criteria

  • The admission to the programme will be through an all-India written admissions test NLSAT-BA conducted by the National Law University Bangalore.
  • The NLSAT-BA will consist of two parts – Parts A and B. The examination will be for 150 minutes.
  • Part A of the NLSAT-BA paper will consist of 75-mark MCQs in Reading & Comprehension, Reasoning, and Quantitative Analysis. Each question will be of one mark. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, and for each unanswered question.
  • Part B will consist of subjective questions, which will be for a maximum of 75 marks.
  • The unreserved category candidate’s cumulative score should be above the 75 percentile of the eligible candidates.
  • The SC/ST/OBC-NCL or PwD category candidates should have scores above the 40 percentile of the eligible candidates.
  • Admission offers will be made to the top 60 candidates on the merit list, prepared on the basis of cumulative performance in Parts A and B of the NLSAT-BA.
