Every year ‘World Entrepreneurs Day’ is celebrated on the 21st of August to acknowledge entrepreneurship and individuals becoming entrepreneurs across the world. This day commemorates the significant contributions of entrepreneurs in fostering job opportunities and fostering economic growth across diverse global industries. Presently, India stands as a central hub for the global startup ecosystem, securing the third position worldwide, boasting more than 90,000 startups and 107 unicorn companies valued at $30 billion. This places India behind only the United States and China in terms of such achievements. Spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian government has taken proactive steps to support and champion aspiring entrepreneurs through initiatives like Startup India.

A successful Entrepreneurship Outreach Program was conducted by the Entrepreneurship Cell of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur at Rajasthan Senior Secondary School, Shrimadhopur on August 21st.

Mission: The program's mission was to equip students with insights into entrepreneurship and the pivotal role played by an E-Cell. Through engaging activities, students delved into the world of startups, understanding how they can transform their ideas into practical solutions.

Event / Activity: During the event, students participated in the engaging "Startup Logo Challenge," in which they identified logos from companies such as Facebook, Meta, and Google. The activity was not only fun and interactive but also provided students with insights into how well-known companies got their start from humble beginnings.

Program Details: In this session, the focus was primarily on 11th and 12th graders, a crucial stage of career exploration. The program aimed to spark inspiration and encourage them to think outside the box by introducing them to entrepreneurship and the array of opportunities it offers.

AIM: Through this Outreach Program, UEMJ sought to plant the seeds of entrepreneurship among students, equipping them with essential skills and a forward-looking mindset for successful entrepreneurship.
