It is thrilling news that the students Dikansha Bindal (lead), Chitran Chakraborty, Kaustav Batabyal, Keshav Bhardwaj, ⁠Sayantika Roy, Stuti Modak, Mohammed Mustakeem, Kanjari Bhattacharjee from UEM Jaipur have made the University proud by securing the 3rd place in the prestigious competition ‘PROD-G’ at Cognizance 2024, the techno-cultural fest of IIT Roorkee.

Cognizance, the annual technical festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, stands as a beacon of innovation and intellectual prowess, attracting participants from across the nation. Established to foster technological creativity and knowledge exchange, Cognizance has evolved into one of the premier platforms for showcasing cutting-edge ideas, nurturing talent, and sparking insightful conversations.

Cognizance is conducted every year and it unfolds as a dynamic confluence of diverse workshops, events, and competitions. It provides a wide range and understandable spectrum for students to engage with industry trends and emerging technologies. The theme of the festival ensures a holistic approach to the exploration of multifaceted domains ranging from artificial intelligence and robotics to sustainability and entrepreneurship.

The three-day extravaganza transforms the IIT Roorkee campus into a bustling hub of activity, with participants, renowned speakers, and industry experts converging to share their expertise and insights. More than 15,000 participants have graced the festival and created a vibrant tapestry of ideas and perspectives.

The flagship events are at the heart of Cognizance and are serving as the nucleus of technological exploration. Competitions such as the RoboWars, Hack-a-thon, and CodeSwap challenge participants to push their boundaries, showcasing their skills and problem-solving abilities. These competitions not only bring out the best in the participants but also provide a stage for networking with leading companies and recruiters.

Cognizance goes beyond technical competitions, incorporating events that celebrate creativity and innovation. The Entrepreneurial Development Cell's flagship event, E-Summit, brings together budding entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders for discussions on the startup ecosystem. Additionally, the carnival-style atmosphere during the fest includes entertainment events, cultural performances, and exhibitions, adding a touch of vibrancy to the academic ambiance.

The PROD-G was an entrepreneurial challenge that saw fierce competition from some of the brightest minds across the country, where on-spot real life problem solving skills and teamwork is the key and our team shone brightly, bagging a prize pool of INR 60,000.

UEM Jaipur’s very own startup-TecXaro founded by Turjo Roy, and the team Pranjal Bhattacherjee, Biswanath Mukherjee, Sayak Sardar, and Nistha Bhura extended their influence, unwavering guidance, and mentorship that played a very crucial role in this achievement.
