The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Engineering & Management- UEM Jaipur, visited the Automation and Robotics Expo by EnCon Systems at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, today. This Expo features a collaborative robot, also known as a cobot, which can operate safely alongside humans in a shared workspace. Unlike autonomous robots, which perform a single task repeatedly, remain stationary, and work independently, autonomous robots are hard-coded to repeat one task repeatedly. 

Cobots are commonly used to automate manufacturing tasks, such as assembly, packaging, material handling, and machine tending. The market for cobots continues to grow due to a shortage of qualified workers and rising labour costs. According to Maya Xiao of Interact Analysis, the global collaborative robot market is expected to grow 20- 30% annually between 2025 and 2026.

Automation is the process by which a product is packed and prepared for delivery to retailers, wholesalers, or market outlets at the end of a production line using automated technology. ), Energy-efficient computer-controlled system for automatically storing and retrieving goods from the storage locations utilizing Karakuri Low-Cost Palletizer. Besides SCARA Robots (SCARA stands for Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm), students learned about rigid SCARA Robots (SCARA stands for Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm). 

The SCARA configuration stands out as a distinctive design tailored to accommodate a wide range of material handling tasks. This unique arrangement involves two arms interconnected at the base and the junction where arms one and two meet. Through the application of inverse kinematics and interpolation at joints J1 and J2, the SCARA system is adept at regulating its X-Y motion. The ultimate X-Y positioning at the extremity of arm two is influenced by factors such as the angles J1 and J2, the length of arm one, and the length of arm two.
