On May 7, 2024, the Rajasthan government's Board of Apprenticeship Training awarded our students at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. Apprenticeship training is a way to create skilled labor for the industry by utilizing facilities already in place for training, which spares the exchequer from having to pay for additional infrastructure. The Government of India's Honourable Minister of Education, for organizing the incredibly productive Industry Institution Meet. Mr. Manas Khawas, Assistant Director, Board of Apprenticeship Training (Northern Region), presented the awards to the students of UEM Jaipur.

The Ministry of Education and Culture, Government of India, established four regional boards of practical training (BOPT)/Board of Apprentice Training (BOAT) as autonomous bodies in 1968 to provide on-the-job training to recently graduated engineers and diploma holders in engineering in an organized manner. The regional offices are located in Kolkata, Chennai, Kanpur, and Mumbai. Following the establishment of the regional boards, the PTS scheme was delegated to the four regional boards, giving them direct authority and autonomy over the program's administration.

On August 19, 2016, the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) was introduced. One of the most effective ways to create skilled labor for the business is through apprenticeship training, which makes use of the facilities for training already in place in the enterprises without adding to the cost of training infrastructure establishment.
