3rd April 2023, Hyderabad, Telangana: Council of Architecture CoA annual National Excellence Awards 2022 was organized by the Woxsen University in Hyderabad at its campus on 31st March 2023. The desired award ceremony was arranged by CoA to motivate and embolden students of Architecture who are in three categories: PG Architectural Thesis, Documentation of Architectural Heritage, and National Awards for Excellence in UG Architectural Thesis.

Woxsen University the School of Architecture and Planning takes great pride in tying up with CoA to acknowledge and awarding talented architecture students from all over the country. The CoA National Awards are currently the highest acknowledgement for architecture students who belong to the architectural field and are working in their own country India, making the program more esteemed. The award aims to motivate and inspire students to pursue transcendence in architecture and gain exposure and contribute to the industry’s growth.

Ar. Habeeb Khan, President of- the Council of Architecture said in this speech to his audience that “My term began with the CoA National Student Awards for Excellence in 2018 and will close with this, of 2022. This shows the importance of the event in my calendar, year after year. I visited Woxsen a couple of weeks ago and was immediately sure that if this grand competition and award ceremony could happen anywhere, it would be in Woxsen,”

Professor Jayshree Deshpande Director of CoA Training & Research Centre, Pune said in her speech that “Woxsen team has lived up to a challenge and excelled in organizing this grand annual event. We are glad to have partnered with Woxsen’s School of Architecture & Planning and look forward to deeper engagements.

There was a huge line of architectures and administrators of CoA from all over the country for the CoA National Excellence Awards 2022:

 Bachelor of Architecture students of Woxsen University have actively participated in various important discussions with renowned architects and get the opportunity to witness the presentation of the top 10 entries in the country, gaining an understanding of the different approaches to design and delineation practised in changing and established universities.

The learning and discussions from these conversations or interactions will go positively connect with the reputed architectural firms for placement, internship, and career advancement. 

The program saw various thesis presentations by 10 students from UG backgrounds, 10 students from PG backgrounds (2 from each of the 5 zone - NSWE and central), and 27 entries in three groups of architectural documentation for this year’s awards. All the selected students from all over the country have presented their thesis to the guests on predominant socio-climatic issues which are
