Steps for Counselling Registration

  1. Login and Validation: Candidates must log in to their CLAT 2025 portal to check their invitation for counselling.
  2. Update NLU Preferences: Candidates must provide at least 15 preferences. Changes are allowed until December 20, 2024, 10:00 PM.
  3. Fee Payment:
    • General Category: ₹30,000
    • Reserved Categories (ST/SC/OBC/BC/EWS/PWD): ₹20,000

Options After Seat Allotment

  • Freeze: Accept the seat and end participation in further counselling rounds.
  • Float: Retain the seat while waiting for higher preferences in subsequent rounds.
  • Exit: Withdraw from the counselling process at any stage.

Required Documents

Candidates must upload the following documents during the counselling process:

  • For UG: Grade 10 & 12 mark sheets, CLAT 2025 admit card, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate (if applicable), etc.
  • For PG: Grade 10 & 12 mark sheets, LLB/B.L. degree, CLAT 2025 admit card, and other relevant certificates.

Refund Policy

  • The Consortium of NLUs offers a refund of the Counselling Registration Fee under specific conditions:

  • Full refunds are granted if no seat is allotted by the fifth round or if candidates exit the process before exercising Freeze/Float options.

  • For candidates exiting after choosing Freeze/Float in earlier rounds, a deduction of ₹5,000 applies after 1:00 PM on May 24, 2025.
  • Refunds are also subject to deductions for ineligibility due to document verification or withdrawal after securing admission, with the Confirmation Fee being non-refundable.
  • Refunds will be processed to the same account used for payment; changes to the account details will not be entertained.
  • This ensures transparency and fairness while managing the counselling process efficiently.
