For the ISC Board 2026 Class 12 Telugu Exam (Second Language), the total marks are 100, divided into an 80-mark written theory paper and a 20-mark internal assessment conducted by the school. The 3-hour written paper is divided into two compulsory sections: Section A (Language) and Section B (Prescribed Texts), each worth 40 marks. Section A (40 marks) focuses on Language, requiring students to attempt one composition (essay), one letter (formal/informal), comprehension questions on an unseen passage, and functional grammar, including vocabulary, syntax, and idioms. Section B (40 marks) requires students to answer questions based on the prescribed Telugu literature textbook, including short answers, objective questions, and long-answer questions that test comprehension and interpretation. The internal assessment (20 marks) is based on project work and practical assessment of listening and speaking skills, marked by the school.
