IIT Kanpur is providing ten unique scholarships to the top 100 JEE Advanced rank holders for the second year in a row. “Bright Minds Scholarships" is the name that constitutes 10 unique and prestigious academic scholarships for the 100 toppers of JEE Advanced. 

IIT Kanpur alumnus Lokvir Kapoor introduced and established this unique scholarship in 2021, to encourage and reward meritorious students. The objective behind this scholarship is to waive all the expenses, tuition, and lodging, during their stay at IIT Kanpur. Academic excellence is being recognized and encouraged through this first-of-its-kind initiative.

It is the aim of IIT Kanpur not to let financial constraints hinder the education of any meritorious student. An annual scholarship of Rs. 3 Lakhs will be provided to eligible students to cover their UG expenses.

For the four-year B.Tech/BS program at IIT-K, an undergraduate student typically spends Rs.12 lakhs. Scholarships provide a meaningful way to assist students with the cost of education, including tuition fees, books and supplies, health insurance, transportation, etc.
