IIT Kanpur is inviting applications for MBA Admission 2025 at the Department of Management Sciences (DoMS). Candidates can apply online through the IIT Kanpur Admission Portal before January 31, 2025 (5:00 PM). Selection will be a Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by IIT Kanpur.

IIT Kanpur MBA Eligibility

For General, OBC and EWS Candidates:

  • Candidates must have an overall score of 80 percentile or above in CAT-2024.
  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with an aggregate of 60% or a CPI of 6.0.

For SC, ST and PwD Candidates:

  • Candidates must have an overall score of 55 percentile or above in CAT-2024.
  • Candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with an aggregate of 50% or a CPI of 5.0 can apply.

Note:

  • The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent (diploma) with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • Candidates appearing for the final degree examination can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally. They must complete all the requirements of the qualifying degree at the time of joining the MBA Programme.

IIT Kanpur MBA Selection Process

  • The shortlisting of the applications for further processing will be based on the CAT-2024 percentile.
  • GD/PI assessment will be conducted for the short-listed applicants.
  • In the PI candidates will be evaluated based on:
    • Academic Background
    • Work Experience
    • Performance in the interview using a previously developed scoring matrix.
  • A final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate score in all the stages.
