NTA has released the NEET UG 2025 provisional answer key, OMR sheets, and recorded responses; challenges accepted till June 5, 2025

The total marks of the NEET 2025 exam are 720. Each question carries four marks. Hence, a total of 180 questions in the NEET 2025 question paper makes the total marks 720. 

To calculate your NEET UG 2025 score, use the official marking scheme:

Example:
If a student attempts 150 questions and gets 100 correct and 50 incorrect:

Total Marks = (100 × 4) – (50 × 1) = 400 – 50 = 350

So, the final score would be 350 marks.

The NEET 2025 official answer key and OMR response sheet are expected to be released by the end of this week. Based on previous years' trends, NTA is likely to publish the NEET 2025 provisional answer key and response sheet by May 30, 2025.

Once candidates have downloaded the NEET 2025 answer key and OMR response sheet, they should follow these steps:

1. Carefully Review the Documents
   Go through your OMR sheet and the provisional answer key thoroughly to ensure all responses and answers are clearly visible and match your expectations.

2. Compare with Unofficial Answer Keys
   Cross-check the provisional answer key with the unofficial keys released by coaching institutes on the exam day. This helps identify any discrepancies or potential errors.

3. Calculate Your Estimated Score
   Use the NEET marking scheme to calculate your probable score. This gives an idea of your expected performance and chances of admission.

4. Decide Whether to Challenge
   If you find discrepancies in the OMR sheet or answer key:

   • Decide whether to raise objections.

   • Submit challenges only through the official NTA portal within the stipulated time frame.

   • Follow the correct procedure and pay the required fee, if applicable.

Note: Late or incorrectly submitted objections will not be accepted under any circumstances.

A good score in NEET is relative and depends on factors such as the exam’s difficulty level, competition, and a candidate’s category. However, based on general trends:

• A score above 500 is typically considered good.

• With such a score, candidates have a fair chance of securing admission to a reputable government or private medical college, especially under the state quota or for reserved categories.

For top government medical colleges, especially through the All India Quota (AIQ), a score of 600+ is often required, particularly for unreserved (UR) category candidates.

The NEET 2025 official answer key and OMR response sheet may be released by the end of this week, depending on the NTA's schedule. However, based on previous years' trends, the provisional answer key and response sheet are expected to be released by next week, most likely by May 30, 2025.

You will get nearly 3 to 4 days to file objections against the NTA NEET answer key 2025. The official dates are yet to be out. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the provisional NEET 2025 answer key in the last week of May 2025. Candidates will have a window of 4 to 5 days to raise objections, with a fee of ₹200 per question challenged.
