Remarks :

The entrance exam to the faculty of law is done under the Cuet-pg exam by NTA. You have to choose the centre preference during form submission. You have to graduate with a minimum of 50% marks in general to fill out this form. There are 360 seats for general in each centre. I prepared using the book by Singhal publication for du LLB entrance. After the written test, the admission is on a merit base, I scored 235 marks and got LC2 which is my first preference. You have to submit the fee and documents after you get your centre. The faculty of law itself is an immense institute, an institute with a good reputation in society. CLC is the oldest centre and with oldest building and faculty. Law centers 1 and 2 run in same building adjacent to the arts faculty but at different timings. Lc2 is a morning college while lc1 is an evening college. Here, attendance criteria matter a lot, you have to attend classes and maintain your attendance by at least more than 60%, and many students got detained mainly in the first year. Exams are difficult!!

Course Curriculum Overview :

Faculty no doubt are the best faculty in this field. Language barriers may be an excuse because some teachers only speak in English. Some guest faculty are very new in teaching so, you can imagine, how they reach. Exams always get late, a minimum of 20 days is postponed every time. Exams no doubt are difficult but checking is even more difficult. Many students get backlogs at least in one exam and many in even more.

Internships Opportunities :

I have not opted for any internship till my first year. However I applied for many internships in my second year, according to our teachers we didn't do internships in our first years, they say it's a waste as you have not learnt a single thing in college, so how you can implement it?

Placement Experience :

Placements are very limited, only a few lucky ones get the opportunity. Some recruiters visited in 2024 are Kotak Mahindra Bank recruited 1 student, Anhad law selected 4 students, and Rahul Sharma Chambers selected 1 student. So, the placement opportunities are very less. Many students including me are trying for internships out of campus placement, and most of the students here are UPSC aspirants.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

So, the total fee to be paid each year is 6010 for all caste categories. There is a scholarship facility for financially weak students. Admission fee- 15 Enrollment fee for du students - 50 Tuition fee- 90 Moot court fee- 100 Library fee- 150 Central library -200 I'd card-40

Campus Life :

Don't expect a huge fest or fresher in law centre 2, only a few songs in front of the college, crowd and nothing else. College authorities even gave a specific time limit to play songs. Fights are rituals of Delhi University, so here also not a single program went without this ritual. You have to issue a library card, books are available there but the students issue them very fast so you have to be very quick, the central library is adjacent to the centre but books related to law are limited there. Some sports tournaments are held, but only formalities, and according to faculty these are a wastage for law students. Many societies are made, but only a few are active and there are regular vacancies for these societies but at the limit, so only 2-3 students from a class get a chance, also here favouritism is at its peak in societies.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
