No, there was no exam for the course. I choose this college because it has it's own hospital which is essential for the internship. The infrastructure of the college is average. Auditorium are the worst part of the college it feels like contestant. The overall faculty is good but some teachers have partiallity with some students. The hospital rooster is not well organised. During the hospital visits we have to complete the work which should be completed by the MBBS students like discharge sheet formation etc. Are are no fest organised in this college. Last year was the first year in which a singing fest was organised in which sunidhi chauhan was the performer. The marksheet for the lateral entry students takes a very long time as compared to the regular students.
I choose this course because I have to do some masters degree after bachelor of pharmacy but I didn't want to go to the industry so instead of doing masters in pharmacy I choose doctor of pharmacy. In reality there are not much options after doing doctor of pharmacy in India as compared to foreign countries.
For pharm d students hospital internship is mandatory whithout completing the internship in different departments of the hospital, a student cannot get the degree. Stipend is around 5000 per month for the pharm d students and if a student is absent on any day the money for that day will be deducted. The work which is given to the pharm d inter student is more as compared to the stipend given to them.
There are not much options for doctor of pharmacy students in India. This course is good for students who have been planning to settle outside India. No placements are provided by the college itself. Departments other than pharm d have good placement as compared to others colleges in dehradun.
The total fees for pharm d lateral entry students is around 5,20,000/- for the 3 years course in which 800/- is separately taken for registration of the students and the uniform is for 7200/- separately and if any fest os conducted in the university an extra money is taken from the students.
Life is not so happening in this college because there are not much extracurricular options in this college. Fest are being conducted from last year itself. The classroom which are conducted on the top floor of the campus are the worst. The roof of the classes are made of fiber or some plastic like material. During the classes mice and others birds gets on the panels of the roof and make noise which is too much annoying during the class.
Hostel for boys is not provided by the college only girls hostels are available. I have rented a flat near the hospital. This are is called Dehrakhas. And the facilities are too good as compared to the hostels facilities given by the college. The rent of this flat is 11k and it is 2bhk with two seperate washrooms. And the view from the flat is too good. The hostels fees is for girls hostel. And the review is given by a friend of mine who is residing in the college hostel since last 2 years.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
