Remarks :

For BMS and BAMCJ there is an aptitude test to get admission to St Xavier's as these courses aren't government there are limited seats. They will evaluate you according to your 12th-grade marks and the aptitude test. The good aspect of the college is that the campus life, faculty, and knowledge gained would be high. The only bad aspect would be placements are really difficult to pass through at least from my personal experience. To prepare for the test study for quants, verbal ability, data interpretation, general knowledge, and logical reasoning.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is really good for business students. They teach different subjects which are essential for the management students. In the third year, they have the option to choose an elective of international business or financial resources in the 5th sem and we have a market research subject which is beneficial to understand the current consumer trends through different formulas like chi-square, ANOVA, t-test and more. We study the practical current subjects relevant to us. The NEP batch has a choice of electives from various fields like chemistry, chemistry, mass media and others. The course is moderately tough but if you put your heart and soul you can easily score an 8.5 above. The class internals happen in 2 stages 20 marks each. One set would be presentations. The rest 60 marks will be for the end sems where the whole portion will be there as a written exam.

Internships Opportunities :

It is compulsory to do a summer internship during your second year. It should take a minimum of 1.5 months to get better placements. A few students got through campus in companies like Morgan Stanley, HUL, etc. and mostly these students are likely to get a PPO. I did an internship in Marketing/Pr at a marketing agency that deals with luxury clients in Mumbai. It was a good experience. Got to learn a lot about marketing in real life.

Placement Experience :

Since the recession, the placements have become a little tight. But the company's like Accenture, McKenzie, Bain and co, and Morgan Stanley come for placements every year. The highest package last year for 22 lakhs in HUL. The average package was 6lkh pa. Anyone can sit for placements but the competition is high. After this degree either one can work or go for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since our was the non-NEP batch, the first two years' fees were low. For the third year, our fees went on a slight hike as they're giving and training us with Harvard case studies for the business students as it is essential for them.

Campus Life :

The campus life is great. There is a diverse crowd and it's a very student-friendly college. Our college fest is the 2nd best in Mumbai after the IIT Bombay fest. It's called Malhar. It normally happens in August. It's a 2 two days event and the final day ends with a concert. Last year one of my best experiences as the famous singer AP Dhillon performed. It was a great expansion we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our college Library is one of the oldest Libraries. It has every books, magazines and newspapers and old papers. It's very huge with a seating space of about 100 people. Apart from that there is a comparatively smaller lending Library. Our college is known for the basketball court in the middle of the campus and there are sports selections every year. There are various clubs including social service league, finance club, dance club and more.

Hostel Facilities :

Unfortunately, girls don't have an option for a campus hostel. So we had to stay in PGs outside campus. The guy's hostel is there but they only take according to the marks you scored. The guys can only stay in the first year. Then they will have to move out.

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
