I didn't choose this college, my parents decided to get me there. I wanted to persue my degree in university. The admission process for my course was pretty easy. You should have a secured a minimum of 50% in your 12th and then you have to fill your admission form which is then signed by the principal and you have to pay a minimum of INR 10,000 for admission. The admissions were done in each odd semester. There is no enterance test for getting admission in the course I chose.
I wanted to do teaching so I decided this course. All the faculty members were Ph.D. holders and masters in their subjects. The science faculty is literally the best. Botany department teachers are veru supportive and understanding. Others were okay but all taught us well. There were house tests first and then final exams every semester. The difficulty depends upon how one has prepared
There were no placements for medical students they just provided placements related to commerce field or computer basics which were of no use if you are doing medical since what's the point. There were companies like TCS Infosys ect. Who came for recruitment but for backoffice working only. There were few internships for IT sector as well
My yearly fees was near about INR 48000. Since I was a general so there was no concession for me. The students of lower caste get scholarships and they are provided with the fees by the government of the relevant course they have chosen and the same is transferred in their account which they afterwards deposit in the college as their fees
There were no fests or any other entertainment things in the college. The campus is smaller than a matchbox to be very honest. Like you can't even sit there since there was no space for sitting during your free lectures. The students centre had AC but they never turned it on. They even didn't let us sit in the classrooms during the free lectures and used to turn off the fans. Annual sports meet is held every feb or march but the attendance is compulsory and the event is very boring. You can get books from the department library but getting books from college library is pretty difficult since you have to return them 15 days before exams so no point. The departmental libraries collect security for the books and then issue the books so that's an easier way. There wer ebooks available
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
