Initially, my focus was primarily on preparing for IPMAT, However as I was continuously researching and realized that DU is a better option for me in terms of ROI ( It may vary as per your needs ), I shifted my focus towards CUET, as the major syllabus of the exam is already covered by our NCERT Books of class 11th & 12th, so I didn't put many efforts because GT was not important for me, for the courses I was targeting for, you should check subject combinations for the particular course you're aiming for before staring your preparation for CUET. Though I didn't go through GDs, or any Interviews but CUET.
I have always been fascinated by commerce. Coming from a business family, I have seen my father hustling hard to keep his shop profitable & companions happy. I wanted to get a more holistic perspective on Business Management and commerce so I opted for B.com at Satyawati College, DU after completing my Sen Sec with Commerce & maths. I began preparing for CUET around 2 months before my board exam, before that I was preparing for IPMAT so my higher math portion was already covered that's why I majorly focused on NCERT as per my subject combinations. The CUET UG exam is easy to moderate for a 12th student. The faculty is comparatively new here, most of the profs are young and full of enthusiasm as well! There are two term exams held in a year, one being somewhere around Dec, and the other one in May. DU is very affordable, fee ranges between 10k to 25k depending upon the college and course. Yet there are many scholarships available so you have no worries about that!
Saksham ( P-cell of Satyawati College ) offers internship offerings throughout the year, but summer internships are the best time to grab a really great placement in the top 10 companies. I have had more than two internships one on campus and the other one off campus, the one I got on campus offered me a Stipend of 7k in the first sem of my college.
Saksham which is the Placement cell and the most active cell of our college makes sure that every student gets the desired placements. Though the placements are not on par with the typical north campus colleges, it's not bad at all. If you make your CV great by taking part in club activities, winning some case comps, and gathering hands-on experience by taking on or off-campus internships you can definitely get a really good placement. The highest package of our college for the last year was circa 19LPA and the medium package ranges somewhere around 7-8LPA. Most of the students who sit in placements get placed, I am currently doing internships which I got through campus offering in the marketing field, I will gain good experience and attempt for CAT later on.
We have many inter-college, cultural, and also individual fests that are hosted by Societies! We have many active registered and unregistered societies in our college, also the political wing of our college is very active. Our Biggest Fest 'ORION' which happens in March. We've a really great library where you can read books, and borrow one! If some book is not available, you can talk to a librarian about it and they'll make sure to arrange that book for you. We have a really big round to play or even roam around after classes, our society's NSS is also very active. We have a hostel facility beside our main campus of college, but you've to keep checking the registrations for the hostel as they are served on a first come, and serve basis. I am living in a PG near Malka Ganj which is a 10-minute walk or two metro stations away from our college.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
