The most important factor that led me to this college was the fact that it was near to my home place. About a distance of 70 km from my home town I could easily reach the college and thereby fulfill my dream of studying in such a good and reputed college of my district.
The most important reason for my choosing this college as I mentioned earlier was the less distance from my home town. The second important reason of choosing this college was the excellent faculty members of my department of Economics. I was very interested in studying economics while in my 12th classes and accordingly I took honours in this course. My parents too eagerly supported me in this journey which I cannot fail to mention. The final exams happened every May and November of each year. The difficulty level was moderate to difficult. That is not very easy yet not very difficult.
Internship program were given only for some selected courses. And the course in which I was enrolled did not have any internship opportunities. But definitely we were taken to nearby village and project town for conducting survey on our honors subject.
The college did offer placement for different courses but unlucky it has no employment opportunities in my particular course. That is why I opted for doing masters in Economics immediately after completing my pursuing ba economics course. So my plan after getting the degree is to enroll myself in a good university for pursuing my MA in Economics.
Yearly the fee structure was Rs. 3000. My college also gave us merit based Scholarships and one scholarship names Isan Uday. The Isan Uday scholarship was available only for those belonging to economically weaker sections of the society. The Isan Uday scholarship amount was 4500-5500 per month for completely three years. The fee has definitely increased from the time I have completed my three year BA( Economics) course. During my time it was 2000 per semester.
College week was conducted immediately after the college reopened from January and that was the most fun and most awaited event of our college. As all the students wait eagerly to showcase the different talents be it in sports or culture. Sports like badminton, carroms, chess, etc took place. Apart from sports cultural events like solo dance, solo song, group dance, group song, rangoli competition, folk dances, drama, etc were held. Also there was cultural rally competition which marked the beginning of the college week. Wall magazine competition s were also held among the departments in which each and every student participated very curiously and displayed full enthusiasm.
Yes, I have opted for a private hostel which was at a distance of 7 minutes from my college. This made my college life more easy and interesting. Because I could go to have my lunch everyday at my hostel. The quality of the food was also good at my hostel. The academic environment which I consider a very important factor in a student's life was also good at my hostel.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
