- The college compound is very peaceful and clean and we get lot of facilities in our college and a fest is conducted very year in our college in the month of end April or first week of May and sports ,essay writing, any many others activities are conducted.
- The parking for two wheelers and nicely made and there's quaters for the teachers and other staff of the college and there's a 9 sided ground and a volleyball court and badminton court and a gym too and hostels for both girls and boys.
Dislikes
- I dislike how the toilets are not well maintained and random people enter and smoke in college toilet and the auditorium halls not well maintained and the funds which comes for the maintainece of the college is not properly used.
- I dislike that there no wifi in our college for our studies and no practical classes for better understanding. The security of our college are not so good . The quater of staff are not so clean and they even don't notice it..
Remarks :
I choose this college because its the no 1 government college in sikkim and it's situated near the capital of sikkim and lot of facilities including sports, music and other activities and lot of seniors as well as teachers guide me for taking admission in this college
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I was intrested in English and it was the students we also less than compare to others honours classes. We have 2 sessional exams and one main exams by sikkim university and the sessional contains of 25 marks each .
Internships Opportunities :
There's internship for students if they pass their exams well and get a opportunities for getting jobs and earn after completing our graduation and If not we can start a small business by opening cyber shops and cafeteria
Placement Experience :
There are job opportunities after completing our graduation. We can apply for private jobs as well as govt jobs .the percentage should be good for getting placements after getting a degree and can even get a chance to work in college as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Those students who Don't have sikkim identifications certificate have to pay semester while fees and have to pay registrations fees ,admission fees ,development fees,lab fees and other fees and those who have sikkim identifications certificate don't need to pay fees .
Campus Life :
Life at campus is very interesting . A fest is conducted In our college at the month on last April or 1st week of May. Many sports are conducted and the winner gets a trophy and medal and a certificate And many students opens a small stalls and selling foods and handmade stuffs .
Hostel Facilities :
There are hostels for both girls and boys and the name of hostels are teesta and rangit and the food is very nicely cooked and clean and the fees are not too much and many students stays in rented room and there are many rented rooms available near college compound and pg are also available for both boys and girls

Placements and job opportunities are given to students after their completion of internship some may get the opportunity in between their internship,like recently our department seniors were gone for their internship and they are receiving amount of stipend in their internship at around 7000 rupees which was good thing for them

The placements are not highlighted as most students apply for jobs in a wide range of off-campus sites. My plans after getting the degree is to clear NET and continue with my education as a PhD scholar.

No guarantees . There is no placement guarantee in our college if you pass you pass their is no guarantee that you'll get a job after the college i have seen my seniors driving taxi after college and I'm afraid

Although the college claims 100 percent placements. I have seen my seniors running and applying for job interviews here and there. However i feel only 50- 60 percent gets placed by the college campus interview. But also there are many opportunities outside the college so one doesn't have to worry for placements.

Yes we do have internship program. If you do diploma you will get one OJT that can vary upon the field of your interest such such you want to move to another location or not And if you are not diploma then you get one OJT plus last 9 months of internship then placement.

So the University doesn't have any sort of Placement Cell however the student body has assured that they will make it work and resume it soon. But as of now not having Placement benefit is a disadvantage. However, if you're good enough to crack NET exams and some other entrances than even some of the private universities can take us into consideration. I'm planning to crack NET and continue with PhD if I get a chance otherwise I'll have to crack good amount of entrances.
