- The library the readers association and wifi are the three things that has been utmost to me . The college also offers ncc nss and other clubs . The college has a. Common room for both boyd and girls in the girls common room vanity for sanitary napkins are placed for their requirements in times of their monthly menstrual cycle
- The teachers and the faculty members and the dean are really students friendly they are all very positive and polite and has helped us in every asp especially the teachers of my department were really helpful and nice to me and I still have connections with them
Dislikes
- The infrastructure for basketball is missing and the hostel is quite far from the college which is very problematic in times of summer season cause we have to climb uphill to reach our classes and the is really problematic
- No complaints about any faculty but the car parking has destroyed the beauty of the college campus and students are driving so rashly and it might lead to some accidents and additionally the buses crowds are chaotic
Remarks :
It is one of the oldest and the most renounced colleges of Sikkim and the campus has lots of facilities like a gym libraries canteens common rooms and a readers association. The cut-off is very low the college is very student-friendly and interviews and GD are held for admission
Course Curriculum Overview :
I selected geography hons as my BA degree. The faculty was friendly and all faculties have qualified net and set and also PhD degree holders. The practical syllabus and theoretical approach are combined very well by the Sikkim University under which the college comes. The exams are very student-friendly and the professors have selected a quality education not based on quantity
Internships Opportunities :
I am still studying and I have not opted for any placements cause I want to move further for PhD but my friends and other classmates have opted for placements in various companies. I also got placed in studying MA in strategic and area stud In the University of North Bengal
Placement Experience :
Placements are made to students of some of the professional degrees and the package is really good. Companies like pharmaceutical and Webel and Aptech and companies like Manipal Himalaya and also others join in for internships
Campus Life :
The infrastructure provided is a gym car parking library auditorium seminar hall common room for both boys and girls hostels which provides good meals for 2 times and the college also offers pg degree in many of the subjects The cafeteria sells and serves awesome food on friendly budget. There are practical labs fests and a ground volleyball court and badminton court and in June college fest is held each year

Placements and job opportunities are given to students after their completion of internship some may get the opportunity in between their internship,like recently our department seniors were gone for their internship and they are receiving amount of stipend in their internship at around 7000 rupees which was good thing for them

No guarantees . There is no placement guarantee in our college if you pass you pass their is no guarantee that you'll get a job after the college i have seen my seniors driving taxi after college and I'm afraid

Although the college claims 100 percent placements. I have seen my seniors running and applying for job interviews here and there. However i feel only 50- 60 percent gets placed by the college campus interview. But also there are many opportunities outside the college so one doesn't have to worry for placements.

Yes we do have internship program. If you do diploma you will get one OJT that can vary upon the field of your interest such such you want to move to another location or not And if you are not diploma then you get one OJT plus last 9 months of internship then placement.

So the University doesn't have any sort of Placement Cell however the student body has assured that they will make it work and resume it soon. But as of now not having Placement benefit is a disadvantage. However, if you're good enough to crack NET exams and some other entrances than even some of the private universities can take us into consideration. I'm planning to crack NET and continue with PhD if I get a chance otherwise I'll have to crack good amount of entrances.
