Its one of the very known college in Guwahati. Which gives perfect guidance and support and also provides job assistance. Infrastructure is very good, teachers are very understanding and co-operative.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed BBA because I always admired myself as a corporate employee. This college has very good connections with the companies present in Guwahati. This college is perfect because it provides better education in affordable price.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes i had internship with Bajaj Finance. It was a wonderful experience to work as an intern there. It boosted my career as my first employment. Since then i have reached in a beautiful position now which is giving me a good lifestyle now
Placement Experience :
The institute has very good connections with multinational companies and also many local companies in northeast. Gives placement according to the students performance. Untill the candidates cracks a interview they give continuous support and assistance
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1st, 3rd and 5th semester fees are 30000 each. 2nd, 4th and 6th semester fees are 20000. Form fillup fees back then for each semster was 1200. And for back papers per subject was 1000. Its very affordable.
Campus Life :
The college campus is very clean. The classrooms are digital and projected. The college has a very beautiful and perfect infrastructure which is very suitable for students. And also the college campus is very safe
Hostel Facilities :
I stayed in hostel provided by the college. Its very clean and hygienic, meals are very good. The hostel campus is very safe and clean. Cook, security gaurd are available plus they also provide medical assistance.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
